Ok, I don't know how well this will go over, but I'll give it a try.
I will start a story, someone else picks up where I left off (hopefully it'll all make sense as we go on). As new characters get introduced to the story, I'll try to add them to this first post, be sure to add what relationship the character you add in is to some else in the story. Now that I've confused you all...

Time: 1984
Characters: Scott (age 16)
Eric (age 15)
Lisa (age 15) (Eric's fraternal twin sister)
Wendy (age 16)


Scene (fade in) Scott and Eric are standing in the hall of their highschool, in front of Eric's locker, talking about their plans for the upcoming weekend.

(Eric) So, you're sure you can get the car for this weekend? I finally got to pick up the tickets for this concert that I won off the radio station. I am so stoked!
(Scott) Yeah, yeah, I'm sure. I've done nothing but chores all last weekend and this whole past week. They'll have to let me have the car. I even washed and waxed it yesterday.

(Lisa and Wendy walk by chatting and giggling. Eric and Scott stop talking and watch as Wendy glances over her shoulder and gives the boys a shy smile)

(Scott) Wow, Wendy sure is hot! I didn't know she was friends with your sister!

(Eric) Yeah, they both worked at the grocery store for the summer. I guess they got to know each other then.

(School bell rings in the hall while students rush around to their classrooms.)

(Eric) Hey man, I'll see ya at lunch. I don't wanna be late for Mr. Sterling's class again, he already has it in for me.

(Eric and Scott go off in different directions towards their classes)

OK, that's pretty lame, but it's a start! Now it's your turn. What'll happen next in the continuing saga of these kids?

(Eric enters Mr. Sterling's class 1 minute before class begins)

(Mr. Sterling) Well Eric. Looks like you are late. I will not tolerate that in my classroom

(Eric) But Mr. Sterling, There is still a minute to go. I am not late

(Mr. Sterling) Are you insinuating that I am wrong? How dare you judge me. You will never get far in life if you always question others. If you are late again, you will get detention, now take your seat please

(At lunchtime, Eric and Scott converse over Mr. Sterling)

(Eric) I swear man, he's got it in for me. I hate him!

(Scott) He isn't exactly the model teacher around here, that's for sure

(Eric) I just wish he wouldn't be on my case all the time. I wish I never had to see his face again

(Scott) Are you serious?

(Eric) I just wish he would go away. Just leave

(Scott) I may have the answer to your problem ...

Meanwhile, Wendy and Lisa walk out of the cafeteria to the park near the high school with their lunches.

(Wendy) So, how's your day been going?

(Lisa) Eh, ok...I'm gonna have a ton of homework tonight, and I have to work after school at the store. I'm gonna take my homework with me and try to sneak working on it between customers when they come through my register. Rick (the store manager on call that night) probably won't give me a hard time about it, I think he likes me.

(Wendy) Rick is so.....OLD! What's he like, 25 or something? Doesn't he have a girlfriend or something too?

(Lisa) I think he's older then that, and he's married, but he's sooo hot.

(Wendy sighs) You better watch what you do Lisa...

(Lisa) Yeah yeah....(pauses while she takes a bite out of her baloney sandwich and chews thoughtfully.) So, what's up with you and Scott? I saw the look you gave him this morning when we walked by my brother and him....

(Wendy) Oh I don't know, I guess it's some game we're playing. I smile at him, he smiles at me, but neither of us talk to one another. I mean, he's cute and awesome and everything. But I don't know if I want to get into another thing, not after what me and Chris went through. (sighs)

(Lisa) Well, if you ever decide to make a go of it, I could drop a hint to Eric. They are always together. It's almost like I got another brother.

(Wendy) Hey, you wanna go to the concert this weekend?

(Lisa) I'd like to, but I might have to work, I thought you were on schedule too??

(Wendy) I think I'm gonna come down with a cold this weekend. (coughs dramatically and grins)

(Lisa) (giggles) Oh I see how you are.

(Wendy) well, see ya. Give me a call after you get home from work tonight, ok?

(Lisa) Yeah, if I'm not too beat. Bye.

(Both girls walk back into school moments before the bell rings)

Eric and Scott walk into the video arcade just as the last strains of "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen fade from the radio.

(Eric turns to talk to Scott as they walk towards the video game, Tron)

I know ONE teacher I could be hot for, have you seen the substitute for girl's phys. ed.? My sister, says her name is Ms. Hunter. She's got long blond hair and curves that won't quit. She can't be much older then we are, maybe 22.

(Scott) No, I haven't seen her yet, guess we'll have to drop in on Girl's basketball practice after school tomorrow. (grinning like a Cheshire Cat)

[Both boys feed several quarters into the slots of the Tron game and both press 2 players buttons to start the game. All conversation stops, as the theme song starts to play and the flashing lights in the title sequence comes on the screen.]

(Scott) Which stage do you want to play first? Light Cycles or Grid Bugs or Tanks?

(Eric) ummm...well...I'm better at Grid Bugs and I get to blast the hell outta them spiders, THAT really pumps me up for the rest of the game. But *you* are really great at the light cycles...I gotta figure out how to beat you at them JUST ONCE so I don't feel like such a wuss! (laughing)

(Scott) Ah, it isn't as hard as you make it out to be, it reminds me alot of that game, Qix. Man, I spent a lot of money on that one a few years ago. I finally got the pattern down for it.

[Conversation again stops as they both lean into the machine and block out all noise and just imerse themselves into the game.]

(Scott) Good game.

(Eric) Yeah, good game man. Hey, you hungry? I just gotta have some of that new Oreo Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. Let's go to the store, I'll buy us some and some Mountain Dew.

(Scott) Alright.

(Eric) Hey, um...I've been meaning to ask you, when you were talking about Mr. Sterling "disappearing", what did you have in mind? That guy is a nerd, and I don't know how much more of him I can take.

(meanwhile at the ice cream shop, Scott and Eric ponder over a solution)

(scott) So, I have a solution to your Mr. Sterling problem, but we gotta keep this on the down low

(the two begin to whisper)

(eric) I'm listening

(scott) What we do see, is set up the old dude to get him fired. What do you think the school board would say if they found a few of the school's computers in Mr. Sterling's car?

(eric) Now wait a second ... How can we do this without getting caught?

(scott) It's simple. All we have to do is ...

(just then Wendy and Lisa enter)

(wendy) Hey Scott.. Eric. What'cha talkin' about?

(eric) oh, nothing of interest

(lisa) So boys ... you up for seeing a movie tonight?

(scott) Sure. What did you feel like seeing?

(wendy) They say 'Splash' is supposed to be pretty good

(scott) Oh man, I've been dying to see that

(eric) Well then ... let's roll!
