Regarding 80Triv's Spice Pepsi thread, I must ask, were there more flavors of soda this year than previous?
I mean Vanilla Coke and Lemon Pepsi were a twist, but this year it seems soda companies have been crankin' out new flavors faster than Baskin Robbins can put 31 flavors of ice cream in their parlor!
There seems to be a new wild berry soda (Mountain Dew perhaps, not Sprite- I had that this summer).
It seems soda may be the new fad of this millenium. And think, it all starts out with carbonated water and sugar.
So for all you soda drinkers - what flavored soda should I try that's good? Or maybe I should just stick to the good old classic Pepsi.
There's a lemon Peps out there, isn't there? There has to, I remember that 80's radio commercial,

"That little touch of lemon makes it taste so right.
Yes we hate most everything, BUT WE LOVE PEPSI LITE!"

Ahh, 80's flashback,
Steve

Diet Coke with Lime isn't bad.

I usually make my own flavorings - Diet 7-up with added in real lemon or lime juice.

Did anyone use to drink "Suicides" when they were young? Thats where you mix all the soda flavors together in one drink? Good stuff! :D

I don't know much about soda. I drink pop or soft drinks. :bouncy:

True story - When I was in the Marine Corps, a dude asked me if I wanted a soda. I asked him where he could get one. He looked at me funny and said down at the machine. I said I had to see that machine. I was picturing something over ice cream. :)

To answer your original question, I have noticed a few odd flavors this year. But overall there are fewer brands to choose from. As a kid I used to love Grape Crush. A friend of mine owns a butcher shop and they still stock Orange Crush.

There's also that new 7UP with the berries or something. I haven't tried it yet, but would like to.

In the UK we have Coca-Cola Elizabeth in honour of our queen, the bottle comes in the standard shape as every Coke bottle, but the lid is silver and patterned to make it look like a crown. Also one bottle has you getting the chance to win 'tea with the queen'.
It's going down a storm in the UK.
Apparently the queen has a shot of it in her evening tipple. :mwaha:

Yep! I did that. We called it "graveyards" As for all the new pop flavors, I have not tried any. I am not a big pop drinker. Maybe once a month I have a bottle of caffine free Pepsi.

Gentlemen,

I am surprised to hear that Orange Crush still exists. I haven't seen that in ages. Why was it dropped from the supermarkets?
