I like Marshall Crenshaw. He made great music in the eighties and is still putting out stuff. His website is marshallcrenshaw.com.

He was also in the movies Peggy Sue Got married and La Bamba, where he played Buddy Holly.

I remember him from both those films. I liked his songs Someday, Someway and Whenever You're on My Mind

Someday, Someway appears on the soundtrack and in the film Night Shift

marshall crenshaw's debut album is amazingly good. 'someday, someway' was all over MTV, but didn't quite penetrate our airwaves. the follow up single, 'cynical girl' didn't even make a dent. i had a tape with this album on one side, and billy joel's 'the nylon curtain' on the other, and ran it until it snapped. 'maryann' is my fave cut off that album. his next album? nope.

"Downtown" is a FANTASTIC album! I played this record until it couldn't be played anymore :D Even though every song is great, "Yvonne" is a personal favorite of mine.

I absolutely love Marshall's song "Some Day, Some Way". It's one of those fantastic 80s songs that can put me in a happy mood the very moment I hear the opening melody... :clap:
