Fired for helping disabled
(The Sun Online)

A PARKING warden was fired after failing to fine a woman helping her disabled hubby.

Anthony Green allowed the elderly pair to park on a double yellow line for ten minutes while they went to a bank.

But a passing supervisor demanded he give the couple, in their 70s, an £80 ticket.

Anthony, 28, refused and bosses at parking management firm APCOA fired him from his £225-a-week job in Kingston, South West London.

Anthony said: “This elderly woman pleaded with me to allow her to help her husband. He had a stick but needed her help too.

“The car had disabled stickers. Though technically that does not allow them to park on a double yellow line I decided to exercise my own judgment.

“But then my supervisor complained to my boss. I was asked if I had disobeyed an order, and I admitted that I had.”

A spokesman for APCOA said: “He was fired because he acted aggressively towards his supervisor.”

Ok, I have come to a decision. I post on here about this being bad, that being unfair, this and that being wrong. I just had an epiphany. I am on the wrong side here. I need to fit in more and stop trying to change things. From here on out I am going to start kicking kittens. Oh yeah. I will start pushing the elderly out of my way whenever I feel like it. I will tip over people in wheelchairs. I am going to stop calling for judges to be hung when they claim that 12 year olds are responsible for being taken advantage of. Oh hell yeah. I am going to fit in from now on. Maybe I will get a civic award! (Note to readers, I am now turning off the sarcasm mode!)

I applaud the officer for sticking to his principles. :thumb: I would trully like to know if he got aggresive or if his supervisors are covering their butts. I am sure the couple appreciated what he did.

"A spokesman for APCOA said: “He was fired because he acted aggressively towards his supervisor.”

I would have thought that would have counted as ongoing training
:mwaha:

You're right though about it being unfair, though 'Compassion and understanding' are not words that normally spring to mind when Traffic Wardens are mentioned. :grrr:

Lmao Senator Jaiz  (I take too long to write a post and so I missed yours whilst typing mine)
