who remembers the Vectrex?

It was a mini home video game system that was a little bigger than those old table Pac-Man and Donkey Kong games, but still small in size that came with it's own TV screen and featured vector based graphics.
When I was a kid, I just had to have one, but the $199 price it cost (which was super expensive in those days) pretty much kept me on the outside looking in
If you have a fast connection (or slow connection and don't mind the wait), click here to see a 30 second commercial from 1982 promoting the Vectrex --> Vectrex 1982 Commercial (http://www.classicgaming.com/vectrex/VectrexCommercial.mpg)

You could also get a special "Light Pen" that allowed you to make animations, create music, and draw pictures ...

... that could look somewhat like these:

as well, there was a 3-D imager mask available that was just like the coolest thing around at the time :thumb:

Currently you can get an adaptor that allows you to use any Sony Playstation Joypad on your Vectrex system

Apparently you can get emulators for the Vectrex, but myself, I haven't tried out out yet
