In 1985, Kim Mitchell hit #86 on the U.S. charts with Go For Soda. In http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada, he was one of the top artists of the 80's. In the 70's, he was in a band called Max Webster who had their last hit in 1980 with Paradise Skies. Some of his solo hits included 1984's All We Are and Rock and Roll Duty, 1986's Patio Lanterns and Easy to Tame and 1992's America

In 1983, http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canadian band Sheriff hit U.S. #61 with the song When I'm With You. It re-charted at U.S. #1 in 1988. In http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada, both When I'm With You and another song called You Remind Me were big hits in 1982. When Sheriff broke up, a spin-off group called Frozen Ghost was formed by members Wolf Hassel and Arnold Lanni who had a U.S. 1 hit wonder with the song Should I See which hit U.S. #69 in 1987. The 1979 song Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles was co-written between Bruce Woolley and Buggles members Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. It was first a hit for Bruce Woolley's group The Camera Club of which Thomas Dolby was a member early in his career. The Bruce Woolley and the Camera Club version was the one that became a BIG hit in http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada, but because alot of the music that http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada gets is also based on the U.S. charts, we technically got both versions :D

The 1980 song I Got You by New Zealand group Split Enz charted at #53 in America but in http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada, they had three BIG hits with the aforementioned, as well as 1981's One Step Ahead and 1982's Six Months in A Leaky Boat (they were also of course Top stars in Australia and New Zealand among other countries)

The 1982 U.S. #72 hit It's My Party by Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin was a top 40 hit in http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada

The Spys who had a http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canadian top 40 and hit U.S. #82 hit called Don't Run My Life in 1982 was a project created by former Foreigner members Al Greenwood and Ed Gagliardi

They evolved into an adult contemporary band in 1992 until evolving into a grunge band called Sal's Birdland in 1994 that was later renamed the Artificial Joy Club in 1997.

I really remember Artificial Joy Club, I liked "Sick and Beautiful" and "You are too good for me".
