Does anyone remember the Atari XE?

It was released in 1987 and (graphics wise) was a great improvement from that of the 2600, 5200 and 7800 systems, but I don't think it was able to come close to dethroning the Nintendo.
How come the NES never had a keyboard? :lol:
The worst thing for me was the Atari joysticks. The button was on the left side of the joystick, which made it near impossible for a left-hander like me to use it. Luckily, i had my 7800 joysticks that had buttons on each side. Those were somewhat easy to handle
