I saw the thread on first jobs. How about your best high school job.
I worked the back gate at high school baseball games collecting money. The park was a 5 min walk from my house and I only had to work the first 4 innings. I got paid $10 for watching a game that I would have gone to anyway. Beat the hell out of Wendy's

My best job was working on a fishing boat in Eastern Passage, We got up early, there was no hourly wage, we got a cut depending on how much we caught, I got so seasick a couple times, but overall it was fun work, and during herring season it paid very well
I was a packaging engineer and had fun. :)

I did fashion modeling for 'Ocean Devotion' in Whungamata, New Zealand when I was 15 years of age. That was SO MUCH FUN!!!! Smiles. I sported two wet suits and three bathing suits, a sarong with bikini top and a sun dress. Smiles. :) I met some super athletic surfers too, which made it even more fun. Giggles...

I would actually call a good job as a matter of fact I wouldn't even call it a job it was more like slave labor! I worked for my step father. He owned a repair business ypu named he fixed. Most mornings during the summer I would have to get up at 5:30 in the morning and work til 7 at night. He liked going to bars a lot so he did a lot of work there. He usually got paid in beer! :tsk:

So sorry to hear that your Step Dad had a problem with alcohol stlkev70! I never had to grow up with such, as my family are devout Mormons. I am however, struggling with my Fiance' Bern currently. He has a major drinking problem, which I never knew about until he moved in with me from Florida. I surprisingly became pregnant with our 6 1/2 month old son the first weekend he moved in with me...... He had promised me he would be sober before our son Brayden was born, however, Brayden is now 6 1/2 months old and he hasn't done so yet. Not having had experience previously with alcoholism, it is very difficult for me.
I hope that your Father fixed his drinking problems. Again, I'm sorry to hear you had to go through that.
God Bless,
Rachelle
