Last weekend I broke loose with the checkbook again and ened up with the following for the station:
Ultravox - Best of the 80s (import on Disky)
Violent Femmes - 3
Talking Heads - The Name of This Band... (both a new release and a core band for us)
Rick James - Greatest Hits (Motown Compact Classic)
Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - 1984-1989
Dead Milkmen - Beelzebubba
Time/Life Modern Rock Various Artists - includes a bunch of songs I have on vinyl but haven't gotten the chance to rip including Electric Ave., 99 Luftballons, Tainted Love, Der Kommissar and a few more.
A new record store had vinyl for 25¢ each so I picked up clean copies of Quarterflash (1981), Let's Active/Afoot, Andy Summers/2010, Boney M/Night Flight to Venus.
I also picked up the Rhino DVD of The Cars live in Germany, 1979. I'm hoping there are some gems on that I can pull the audio from. They perform a song which was never released called Take What You Want, which hopefully doesn't suck. Also, we got Children of the Corn on DVD for some spooky soundbytes as well!
Halloween is coming children! :grrr:
