i consider Grand Theft Auto: Vice City a blend of 80s parody, Scarface and Miami Vice. should be interesting to see what Davilex does with their game.

Also the first half an hour of "The Hidden" (1987) is very like GTA- joyriding, bank robbing, strip clubs, police blockades.

For those that weren't aware of it, this isn't the first time Miami Vice has shown on a personal computer. Back in '86 it was released for several systems. Check out a few screenshots here (http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/moviegames/miami_vice.htm). Even then it had a GTA look to it.
