Can't believe how fast the summer has went.

My girls register for school on TUESDAY! I am glad, they're bored and miss their friends,,I'm bored and the arguing is starting each day, I think we all are ready! They're more excited about getting their school supplies ready than swimming anymore.

Tiffani will be going into 5th grade already and will be trying out for the girls basketball team...of course track later on in the year.

Ashton will be going into 3rd grade and going to be playing PEE WEE basketball...right along side with her 4 boyfriends!

**On the other side of this..it's a sad time too. Hard to believe that Carrie would be 14 now and starting her FRESHMAN year in high school! She'll always be 2 1/2 yrs old to me :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How about the rest of you who do have children? Are they ready? I remember that we would dread it when it came to this time of the year...but it seems like more kids are ready before you know it!
For Jackson Public Schools (http://www.jackson.k12.ms.us), the 2004-2005 school year starts tomorrow!
When I attended JPS (1979-1989), the school year always began on September 1st, unless it fell on a Saturday, Sunday or Labor Day Monday.
My little one starts tomorrow, you know how hard it is to put him to be early after being able to stay up all summer :hammer:
I can't believe the summer flew by :(
Steff goes back on the 26th. She got her schedule in the mail the other day. I asked her if she's ready and she said, "Yes!!"
Looking back, I don't think that we started until after Labor Day either. I know it wasn't until September.
The good thing is...my daughter is starting a private school in a few weeks, bad thing is, it's closer to her dad's house (over an hour away) so she will be spending the week with him & weekends at my house. :( I'm really sad about it, because she's always been with me the majority of the time. It's a regular private school that focuses on dramatic arts which is what she wants to do, so I know she'll be happy. But I hate the fact I can only see her three days a week! :cry:
I am looking forward to the new school year because that means that I will get to go back to my sports writing job.
:ghug: PG i am sorry to hear that I know you will miss her so much. I know I would die with out my kids every day you must be really hurting. :ghug: I hope it gets better for you.
Logan started 1st grade this year and he usually wants me to stay with him the majority of the day so I took the day off to be with him. But after five minutes he told me to go home and he didn't need me :( .
My other boys are going to be in high school one is a Junior and the other a Sophmore :shakey: Dang, I feel so old.
You KNOW that I am too, Sister. :rose: :ghug: Hang in there. I have MAJOR respect for you as a mother to try to do right by your daughter. No matter HOW much it hurts YOU. What a sacrifice, PG. She's GOT to know what an awesome Mom she's got. :yesnod:
PG...I'll be that is going to be hard on you..but I think that it'll be good for her in the longrun..especially since the school will be to her advantage.
Not too long ago...my husband and I were thinking about separation..it was killing me to make the decision, but I told Joe that I didn't want them to have to transfer to a different school. Our school is just totally wonderful...we are a K---8 school, just a 2 minute drive down the road, the bus picks them up right here at our driveway (when they ride the bus)...and it's like a small community of it's own..everyone's so close.
I'm sure that it will take some adjusting on both of your parts. Good luck with this..hope it all works out :)
Summer? What Summer? lol
Neither the weather nor workloads have been summer-like this year around here.
But more on topic, schools are back after Labour Day. Still the same as when I was in school.
