80s Airwaves Listeners,

I am currently preparing for another shopping trip to add more new releases from your favorite 80s artists. As you probably know, once every couple hours we play a new release from an artist/band who came to prominence during the 80s. Currently in this category we have new music from:

Morrrissey
The Cure
BoDeans
Sonic Youth
Prince
The Outfield
Beastie Boys
The Pixies
Los Lobos
Blondie

The question is what has come out recently that you would like to hear? We already have our eye on the new Duran Duran and the new Tears for Fears releases, but what's available on the store shelves today?!

Please post up and let us know what new release from your favorite 80s artist you would like to hear on our station. Thanks!

Patrick

PS: When I say 'new' release, I mean within the last three to six months, not something from 2001. Blondie for example is already pretty old - the release that is. And we are also not limited to CD releases, we can pull music off DVD as well!

Prince has a great new album out. It's his first since losing 'the symbol'.

Yep, we like it too! Right now we've got these in the new releases section:
Life 'o' The Party
Musicology
Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance
Dear Mr. Man

Is there another song that has become your favorite that we should check out?

PS: I left David Byrne off the list above. Another favorite this year.. :thumb:

Thanks for these suggestions. I wanted to add Special One to our new releases group because we are big fans of CT, but I felt the release just wasn't new enough. I bought the from Tokyo to You DVD with the expectation of pulling some clips off of that, but the way the film is edited, there isn't one song that plays in its entirety. We will NOT miss the next Cheap Trick album though, promise!

Meh, 6 months a year...I mean I'm in Canada and we only got Special One a few months ago...so to me it's still pretty new. But it's your station after all.

I was thoroughly impressed with the new Aerosmith, but I guess that might not be new enough either...I am really out of touch with all the new stuff, hence why I listen to a 80's station. But good suggestions from Honkin are Road Runner and Stop Messin' round...in my humble opinion.

Either way, keep up the great work...would love to hear new stuff from the few you mentioned (Morrissey and The Cure).
