View Full Version : Omg---guess What I Found Today????
LOSTNTHE80S 8-05-04, 05:43 PM Went on one of my little treasure hunts today and stumbled across some NES NINTENDO games...THESE ARE STILL SEALED up! Never played! Mint!!
I found:
BABY BOOMER
THUNDERCADE
I also found the following...these were not sealed but they do have their boxes:
RAMPAGE
CASTLEVANIA 2--SIMON'S QUEST
BATTLETOADS--DOUBLE DRAGON
SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 3
:bouncy: :bouncy:
Princess 8-05-04, 06:20 PM That's great. Did you find them at a thrift shop? That is where I find lots of good stuff & there are many around here. We still have NES & SNES. Though I keep the NES at my parents house because we mainly use SP2 & SNES.
You are the best at finding bargains...... ;)
galaga-girl 8-05-04, 07:19 PM WOW, still sealed! Good find :yesnod: I can remember when SMB 3 was released, it was an awesome game. I still play it now, I love it.
LOSTNTHE80S 8-05-04, 07:30 PM I found them at my favorite pawn shop...once in a while they'll get something like this in but I usually purchase cds or gameboy games there..also Nintendo 64 games. Can't tell you how much I paid for them though since they are already cough cough..."listed"
My girls love the old video games..we have the ORIGINAL ATARI SYSTEMS, NES NINTENDO, SEGA GENISIS, PLAYSTATION, SUPER NINTENDO, NINTENDO 64, GAMEBOY & GAMEBOY COLORS.
They love finding the old NES games though...they probably have around 200 games!
Forgot to mention that a few weeks ago, I also found ATARI DEFENDER that was still sealed in it's original box and had the comic book with it too!
DC Rebel 8-05-04, 07:40 PM That is pretty good, Jana. :thumb:
Great find! You got a nose for these things :thumb:
Nice! I have kind of been thinking about hunting down an NES somewhere. Been aching to play "Silent Service" again.
whistledog 8-05-04, 08:42 PM Was Thundercade the topical view game with the motorcycle /sidecar that shot enemies as they came near?
I used to suck so bad at that game in the Arcades. When I got it for NES, i wasn't any better at it

I loved SMB 3. Every single level had 1 free 1up .. I used to play that game so much, i found every single one (some levels even had 2, and on some levels, if you could jump from goomba to goomba (or turtle to turtle) without touching the ground, you'd get a higher point each time until finally you'd recieve a 1up for every one you jumped on until you touched the ground)

That game had so many secrets it was great, I used to love getting the whistles!

I was thinking the same thing, but I have nestopia on my PC and it is so much easier to play the games on here rather than setting up the consoles all the time.
bookmistres4ever 8-05-04, 10:34 PM lol I went through my NES longing a couple years ago, had to buy the system and about 30 freakin' games off of e-bay. But it was worth it just to play them a couple more times. Of course I suck badly at them now, but back in the day I was pretty good.
One I want to buy sometime is Elevator Action, but I don't even have my NES hooked up currently.

That's my stance as well... emulation is my savior  I can't be bothered with switching systems around all the time or attempt setting all my systems up and having a zillion wires hangin around everywhere. The GCN & PS2 are enough for my entertainment center
On topic: Great finds! I just recently went through SMB3 again on my GBA SP... gotta love games on the go! :D
LOSTNTHE80S 8-06-04, 07:14 AM I'm not sure what the THUNDERCADE is exactly...but it does look from the picture on the front that there's a guy in a red outfit riding a silver motorcycle that has a machine gun for a sidecar..there is a tank of his tail with airplanes and helicopters behind that.
We have games set up for the kids in the den and one of the bedrooms. Big variety.
We sometimes run across the NES systems at sales so we grab them to use them for parts or replacement units (if they work ok) ...You just can't buy them everyday so I guess we have about 5 that we know that work for sure and about 5 more up in the closet..
