View Full Version : Ladies: What kind of bathing suit do you wear? PG 8-04-04, 11:59 AM This kinda goes along with Mia's thread over in the LL ;) Ladies, what style of bathing suit do you wear? PaperGirl 8-04-04, 12:05 PM Cracky! I'm the only vote so far? I wear a bikini....I like it. Princess 8-04-04, 12:07 PM A thong bikini :bashful: Opps, I ment bikini :D KimJoy69 8-04-04, 12:07 PM Bikini ... for the first time since high school  I don't look perfect or hot in it, but I've seen a LOT worse!!! I've come a long way in the past year or so... 'bout damn time! :D PunkyPower 8-04-04, 12:15 PM Other - tankini. My torso is too long for a one-piece and there's no way I'd be seen in a bikini (yet), so I have to go with a tankini. Princess 8-04-04, 12:15 PM Bikini ... for the first time since high school  I don't look perfect or hot in it, but I've seen a LOT worse!!! I've come a long way in the past year or so... 'bout damn time! :D Kim, I'm sure you look great in it. And believe me I know what you mean about seeing alot worse. DH & I are in shock with what people wear. We see them out on the boat & are like "you've got to be kidding me". Makes me feel a heck of alot more confident in what I look like after seeing some people. SouthernImage 8-04-04, 12:36 PM How about a sheet draped over me from head to foot. Kim, I'm sure you look great in it. And believe me I know what you mean about seeing alot worse. What makes a 350lb woman think it's ok to wear a thong?? I'm sorry but just cause you are at the river doesn't mean it's a "free for all" Princess 8-04-04, 01:03 PM How about a sheet draped over me from head to foot. I'm SAYin!!! SweetestJezebel 8-04-04, 01:16 PM I wear vintage one-piece bathing suits...the kind that Marilyn Monroe would wear :) Ayla 8-04-04, 01:16 PM I wear a bikini even though I don't have the body for it. I just throw on a t shirt if i go swimming in it. I like tanning my tummy as well so I wear one, I am a little self conscious but try to to worry about it too much. I'm not 350 lbs in a thong lol so its all good hehehe And Kim I bet you look great in a bikini :) SouthernImage 8-04-04, 01:24 PM Maybe they weren't thongs and just ended up being one after they put it on. :uhoh: LMAO I just thought of something funny. This should be sang at the River. One piece Two piece String bikini Who do you think you are??? I dream of Genie??  PG 8-04-04, 01:50 PM I wear vintage one-piece bathing suits...the kind that Marilyn Monroe would wear :) I LOVE those!!! I think no matter what size you are every woman looks great in one of those. hmmm....I might have to go shopping before I go back to the beach :D SweetestJezebel 8-04-04, 05:00 PM I used to get mine at a shop in L.A. called Jet Rag...for $8.00!!! Pagan 8-04-04, 05:15 PM Bikini ... for the first time since high school  I don't look perfect or hot in it I am SO going to slap the ever lovin' shit out of you if you keep talking like that! :grrr: You look AMAZING..... *DISCLAIMER* You know I would never lift a finger to harm Kimmy... DH & I are in shock with what people wear. Princess, I need to know....does "DH" stand for "Disney Husband"? And if so, are you on the Intercot Disney board? KimJoy69 8-04-04, 05:18 PM I am SO going to slap the ever lovin' shit out of you if you keep talking like that! :grrr: You look AMAZING..... Alright Dammit... just having a girlie conversation in here... sheesh!! That's the way I feel... one day, I might feel differently, but for NOW... you'll just have to be patient & let me get rid of this baggage. sassy 8-04-04, 05:31 PM I voted for other.. I don't wear any :bigeek: Princess 8-04-04, 05:36 PM Woo hoo for you :thumb: That is if I'm thinking what I am thinking is correct ;) If it is I have to confess to have done the same especially on our boat  I voted for other.. I don't wear any :bigeek: Woo hoo for you :thumb: That is if I'm thinking what I am thinking is correct ;) If it is I have to confess to have done the same especially on our boat  BlueMolly2001 8-04-04, 05:57 PM I normally wear a one piece if I do wear a bathing suit, but normally I wear a t-shirt and shorts to the beach. BrandyBlue 8-04-04, 06:28 PM I can't wear them. I hate the way they feel and even though I'm smaller than I have been in a long time, I still feel like I'm a gigantic pig and I will probably always feel like that. I don't get into the water at all, no way, no how, if there is anyone but people I know around, and I dress in dark shorts and dark T shirts. I am the most body shy person there is. Kim, baby, it's impossible, what you are saying--you are just hot. It wouldn't matter if you weighed 350, you would still be hot. ElectricYouth 8-04-04, 10:49 PM I've worn a bikini since I was 13, and I wouldn't have it any other way. LOSTNTHE80S 8-05-04, 09:42 AM Let's see............I'm 41 and have had 3 children...1 PIECE! (stretch marks you know!) EY---I am so sorry..but I'm laughing at your comment!! I want to read your answer again in about 15 more years after you've squeezed out a few puppies! Sorry ..really... but I just never thought that I'd be wearing a one piece either when I was your age! ;) As my grandma used to say.."WE WILL SEE, DEAR...WE WILL JUST HAVE TO SEE." Vilji 8-05-04, 12:19 PM I just got a pink string bikini from Victoria's Secret. it has a little cut-out heart shape on one side of the top, and on one side of the back part of the bottom. the closest thing to a tattoo for me when I lay out, unless I ever get the nerve. though I'll prob be too shy to wear it in public. :D Princess 8-05-04, 01:31 PM Princess, I need to know....does "DH" stand for "Disney Husband"? And if so, are you on the Intercot Disney board? Pagan, no, it doesn't stand for Disney Husband, must admit that was funny though  DH stands for my Dear Husband  No, I am not on any Disney boards but would considered joining one. You can send me the links if you know of any good ones. Tinajo 8-05-04, 05:48 PM I have to vote "other" .. I wear kind of a "tankini".. gotta cover that jiggly belly thats leftover from losing excess weight and having a baby. And I absolutly hate my thighs, so I have the matching skirt ;) HouTexGurl 8-05-04, 06:07 PM I wear a bikini and have wore one for a while now. I do wear board shorts over my bottoms since I feel more secure with them on. I have such a large top that I did wear a tank over it so that I wouldn't flash anyone or traumatize any small children while on vacation. I just got back from Schlitterbahn and Oh my gawd is all I can say still. I guess some ppl think spandex means that it should stretch to the point of becoming transparent and it's still okay to wear it. ick SouthernImage 8-05-04, 07:34 PM I wear a bikini and have wore one for a while now. It's hard to find a suit that fits my boobies. Vilji 8-06-04, 09:52 AM Tc, Victoria's Secret has some with underwire. you can see on them their online site. :) I don't like wearing the underwire, but they've got all kinds. I guess some ppl think spandex means that it should stretch to the point of becoming transparent and it's still okay to wear it. ick OMG! I got SUCH an ego boost at Wet N Wild last month!! I was all self conscious wearing my bikini UNTIL I saw what I saw... :bigeek: LOL, after that, I walked around with my head held high & like I was all that & a bag'a chips!! :mwaha: Vilji 8-06-04, 12:37 PM you go girl! :thumb: Rhelawen 8-06-04, 01:12 PM You won't catch me dead in a bathing suit. :scared: Hell, if I didn't have to leave the house for work, I wouldn't go out the door at all. galaga-girl 8-06-04, 07:09 PM I don't usually get time to go swimming in Summer here but when I do I wear board shorts and a singlet top. I guess some ppl think spandex means that it should stretch to the point of becoming transparent and it's still okay to wear it. ick Maybe there ought to be a law against this... Ya know the saying if the shoe fits wear it. Maybe the same can apply to clothing :yesnod: HouTexGurl 8-06-04, 08:27 PM OMG! I got SUCH an ego boost at Wet N Wild last month!! I was all self conscious wearing my bikini UNTIL I saw what I saw... :bigeek: LOL, after that, I walked around with my head held high & like I was all that & a bag'a chips!! :mwaha: LOL you should have seen my daughter. I swear her jaw hit the ground and I was blinded by the sun reflecting off her braces. She said oh my gawd mom did you see that lady. She is self conscious too and she shouldn't be but after all that she was feeling super good. She said at least I have respect for other peoples eyes. I'll have to post some of our pics from Schlitterbahn. I got them back today :D Geez it was awsome! ImSoooSure 8-07-04, 02:01 AM I just got a pink string bikini from Victoria's Secret. it has a little cut-out heart shape on one side of the top, and on one side of the back part of the bottom. the closest thing to a tattoo for me when I lay out, unless I ever get the nerve. though I'll prob be too shy to wear it in public. :D OMG I LVOE that suit. I saw it in the mag. Do you remember when we used to lay out and put stickers on our body so we'd have a little star or heart shaped tan mark? That bathing suit totally reminded me of that! I wear board shorts and a string bikini top thats too small. IN other words I need a new top. :yesnod: Vilji 8-07-04, 09:19 AM lol. we did that? 14 yr olds... that's ok, I remembered some things you didn't, or didn't right away...:p maybe you should get the top, atleast, since they can be bought in separate pieces.
