I posted an MP3 for Vilji to download at:

MP3 (http://members.home.net/sean.leggett/vilji.htm)

But when she downloads it, she cannot play it with Real Player or Windows Media Player.

I have no problem downloading and playing on multiple PCs.

Can some of you try and see if you can play it okay (it's 2.54 MB). Vilji, can you post the errors you get when you try and play it? Maybe someone will know what the deal is.

Thanks.

It downloads about 130kb and stops. I'm not sure what the problem is, could be a bad mp3. Maybe try to rip a knew on and try again.

Tried it with the IE and with a download manager...failed both times.

It seems that the .mp3-file is corrupted, as my Musicmatch Jukebox 6 played it for only 4 secs.

Like TJ said, you might have to rerecord it. Let us know if that problem occurs again.

Thanks guys. Strange that I can still download it fine today even from within our corporate network. No problems on any PCs.

Go figure. :D

Altough I did see it halt a bit in the middle of the download, but once I copied it to my desktop I can play it no problem.

I'll see if I can find another one.

that's what it did when I tried playing it again. played a few seconds of music and was done.
that was R. Player, I believe. W. Media said it was not formatted right. (the link or whatever.)

bogie, don't drive yourself crazy with it. i'll hear it sometime, I'm sure. lol
thanks everyone

I just downloaded it and listened. No problem here. It played just fine with Winamp.

You could use www.myplay.com (http://www.myplay.com) instead. It is a very reliable way of sharing a MP3.

I had no problems at all downloading it or playing it (using Winamp). I don't think it is a problem with the file.

Downloaded it today...Big Bubbles, No Troubles. ;)

Maybe the server was too busy yesterday...who knows. The only strange thing is that you canīt change the play position freely within the track, but thatīs okay for me. Deleted it anyway - first, it wasnīt intended for me, second, itīs not my cup of tea. :)

You'll gain a whole new appreciation for the song next time you watch Blue Velvet, Mr. Meister. LOL.

Don't sweat it TJ. It's probably sun spots or something else ephemeral. :D

Definitely a conspiracy. It's only the old Ketty Lester song Love Letters from the Blue Velvet Soundtrack.
