It is $1.68/gallon here in the St Louis area.
Slayergrrl 6-29-04, 07:09 PM I'd kill for a $1.68 a gallon. it's $1.88 to $2.02 for regular around here.
SouthernImage 6-29-04, 07:11 PM About $2.15 in my area
Average around here is $2.
$1.79 here.. this is low for us LOL
Average around here is $1.95. Much better than the $2.33 it was a short while ago.
Caligula 6-29-04, 09:21 PM too hard to explain by converting currency's and litres to gallons, but it has dropped about 45 cents a gallon
PunkyPower 6-30-04, 02:13 AM It was $1.78 when I bought gas last week (I'm off work this week, so I haven't used nearly as much gas driving). It's been around the $2.00 mark or more lately.
What's everyone paying for gas now? I just filled up at $1.96 for regular

Not sure where this is at... but, I would DIE!!! if I had to pay that for gas...
Slayergrrl 3-21-05, 08:57 AM Back up.. 1.98 a gallon
Last night the station closest to my house was 1.96, this morning it's up 1.99. A three cent increase within 12 hours....
It's only gonna get worse :(
PaperGirl 3-21-05, 09:22 AM $2.02 on Friday......yikes.
Cheapest Gas in my neighborhood was $2.03 A gallon as of last night, the average in Seattle is about $2.13 A gallon.
DJ Midas 3-21-05, 09:42 AM Last I paid for gas (Thursday) it was $2.07 a gallon for regular unleaded. :p Thank goodness if I fill up I can go about 2 weeks on a tank.
I just heard that gas in certain parts of DC is as high as 2.90 a gallon  That's outrageous!!
I wonder what gas prices are in Hawaii right now....
:violin: Stop your whining :p Here we pay 3.99 pr. gallon - and that's about normal.
Prefab Sprouter 3-21-05, 11:12 AM :violin: Stop your whining :p Here we pay 3.99 pr. gallon - and that's about normal. Exactly!!! You guys in the States have really cheap petrol compared to Europe!!!!!!! :hissy:
LOSTNTHE80S 3-21-05, 11:35 AM Centralia, Illinois....ranging from $1.98---$2.02 per gallon average.
Ranging from about $2.09 to $2.15 here (and just over a week ago I filled up when it was only $1.89 per gallon).

Mine isn't that bad it is just $2.09 per gallon.
Just $2.09???!!!
It was $2.06 here 3 flippin' days ago!, now it's $2.09. I told my husband, I hate the way this sounds, but I remember when I got my first car and we bitched when it went to a buck a gallon. Now, we'd run our mothers over to get to the station that has it for a buck seventy.
It really sucks for me since I work about 50 min. away. It seems like I spend half of my check on gas alone.
I hope it will soon go down.
chazztnvols 3-21-05, 08:39 PM The Gas Stations here range from 1.94 - 2.04 a gal.
$2.17 when I filled up this morning. I hear ya, Milani. I drive 90 miles round trip every day. :(
It is $1.68/gallon here in the St Louis area.
The good old days.........:(
I've seen regular unleaded around here from $1.95 to $2.09.
whistledog 3-21-05, 11:25 PM I don't know how to convert litres into gallons, but here ... it's up to 89 cents per litre when like last year it was around 69 cents. IF gas prices keep going up.. it'll be like 200 bucks just to get a fill up :(
Try Southern California....My in-laws down there are paying about 3.05 a gallon!
I just heard that gas in certain parts of DC is as high as 2.90 a gallon  That's outrageous!!

I'm sure they've taken to canoeing between the islands. On the plus side, there'll be some hot Hawaiian bods on the next seasons of Survivor, American Idol, and whatever other reality shows come out.
galaga-girl 3-22-05, 01:59 AM I'm too lazy to work it out, but i'm sure someone can, at the moment petrol is around $1.20 a litre here, which is EXPENSIVE for us!!!! It just keeps going up and up, I am lucky to get to the pump when it is below $1.15 and I have to travel 180ks each way to go to the mall!!!!

This might help a little:
180 Kilometers = about 112 Miles
1 Liter = 0.2 Gallons
So 5 liters equals 1 US Gallon
So using your figures, a US gallon of gas there costs $6.00
I couldn't tell you how much it would cost round trip to the mall as I don't know what your vehicle's MPG is (Or in the case of Metric....Kilometers per liter)
You also have to take into consideration the currency exchange rate.
1 US Dollar may be worth more or less then that of Australia. As of the time of this writing, every Australian Dollar was worth 78 Cents US. (Source: http://www.xe.com/ucc/)
$6.00 Australian = $3.90 US
This might help a little:
180 Kilometers = about 112 Miles
1 Liter = 0.2 Gallons
So 5 liters equals 1 US Gallon
I thought it was 2 1/2 ltr. :bashful:
If the above is right, then a US gallon of our gas is 7.98 $
SO WHAT ARE YOU YANKS COMPLAINING ABOUT
Slayergrrl 3-22-05, 10:04 AM They went up today for us.. 2.09 to 2.16..
And WHO you callin' a Yank, Harket!:lol:

I'm going to assume Denmark uses the Euro. If that's the case,
a US Gallon of Gas in Denmark actually costs $3.80 US Dollars, NOT $7.98.
The US Dollar is worth about 0.76 Euro. Not bad for an old over-the-hill Metal-head who would have just "Shuddered" at the mere THOUGHT of Math. (I do work for the State though, so I deal with currency figures all day.)

You tell Em Slayergrrl! I'm a Mariner's fan myself....Sorry all you Yankee Fans, I was rooting for the Sox too!

I'm pretty sure he meant "yank" as in American and not the sports team.

I know. It was my usual bad attempt at humor! :dammit:
I'm going to assume Denmark uses the Euro. If that's the case
Sorry, but we don't use the Euro here. Denmark and England are among those memberstates that has kept their own currency.
A US$ is worth 5.65 Danish Kroner. And a litre of gas is around 9 dkr at the moment - 5 litres are then 7.96 US $ (today).
And yes, Yanks meant Americans :p :D

It's a Red Sox fan thing..
BrownEyedGirl 3-23-05, 09:38 AM The gas station near my office was $2.29 a gallon for regular yesterday. I heard that they expect gas prices to reach $2.50 for regular by summer.
It's a Red Sox fan thing..
 yeah, I get it now. Guess that is what happens when you aren't a sports fan, huh. :D
LOSTNTHE80S 3-23-05, 09:37 PM OMG...stayed home yesterday...went into town today...saw gas prices ranging from $2.12---$2.18 a gallon. This is rediculous!!

sean85zx 3-24-05, 09:36 AM BrownEyedGirl and I are paying around $2.20 a gallon for 87 octane right now. Gonna kill Kia for making a minivan get 16 mpg. Next car is a Highlander or Highlander Hybrid. 700 miles to a tank of gas.. heck yeah. Then after that it'll be the BMW H7 Hydrogen car heh yeah right. :)

A Used to think my toyota Pickup got an impressive 24 MPG on the highway, now a co-worker of mine has one of those Toyota Hybrids. It gets about 80 MPG in the CITY!
80's fanatic 6-28-05, 12:01 AM I drove by the gas station today and the price of gas is now up to $2.18 a gallon at the place I go. Other gas stations in town are slightly higher.... $2.23 a gallon
Not a PC thug 6-28-05, 12:07 AM There are 3.78 Liters in a gallon. I work for a pharmaceutical company and we do weight in KG and volume in gallons, so I always have to do conversions.
