Okay, so.. This is my regimen to lose weight quickly. Once I'm at a good point, I've been known to eat well and keep it off. So even though I drop it off fast, I keep it off long afterwards. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

5:30am - Boxing type routing (mostly foot work and air punching)

3:30pm - About 1 hour of weight training (two bodyparts per day 4 or 5 days per week)

10:00pm - Aerobic Bike to bring my heart rate to about 170 or 180 for 30 minutes.

10:30pm - Treadmill to bring my heart rate to atleast 180 for 30 minutes.

11:00pm - The rope! Jump rope for another 15 to 20 minutes...

... What are YOU doing to get in shape? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have Asthma so I'm having a hard time taking off the weight, but I'm trying http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/frown.gif The only thing I can do right now is not to eat anything that puts the fat on and lift some weights to help build muscle.

Okay, well.. Ephedrine increases your metabolism. It will burn fat for nothing. It could cause you to get a bit jittery though. I used to LOVE the feeling. I felt so energetic! It was really great for me.. Ephedrine isn't sold anymore because kids overdid it. They took way too much because they wanted to get a cocaine like high. So, it's off the market. BUT there are derivatives. Ask your local vitamin store for a fat burner with Ephedrine or Ephedrine Extract.. It works almost as well as the real thing... It's best to take with a cup of coffee and a childs asperine. The caffiene increases the affect and the asperine helps it circulate through your blood.

Hi,first of all let me say I am very impressed with this board. It has just about everything. Hopefully we can build it, into something special. I am going to try and promote it.

Now,on to the subject at hand. I am trying to get back into shape myself. I am not overweight persay but I was an athelte all through school, and I am not in the same shape I once was. I have been doing some basic things like running, some weight training, cardio vascular exercise, etc. and it is starting to work. Also let me recommend for everyone to start playing racquetball three times a week. It is a great game that will put you in great shape.

I walk 5 miles a day everyday (well okay Saturdays I usually hike with the kids lol) It has been paying off in spades!!! And I haven't even thought of dieting http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Wow, Zel. I'm glad to hear that. Just the walking is doing it? That's cool. You don't even have to sacrifice food.. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

And Scandal. I wish I had someone to play racquetball with! Or Tennis! Nobody wants to play with me! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/frown.gif hehe Well, that's fine! Anyways, thanks for the compliments on the board! I'm really glad you like and and I'd really appreciate your help in promotion. I hope this place can make some kind of a difference one day. Whether it be in getting our voice out there that we still exist, or just simply a place for us to hang out with a whole lot of friends... http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Here's my alternative way of losing weight/staying fit: I play an hour of Playstation a day. No joke. I play the game Dance Dance Revolution. It's a game that comes with a mat you dance on. It's as energetic as aerobics but you play a game and time flies. I can recommend this to anyone who can't get into a regular training program. AAAAAND it has a few really cool songs from the 80's!!

hehe I don't know if I can see myself playing this game but it DOES sound very interesting! I know in the future, we'll all be able to play a game of baseball, tennis, whatevet OVER the internet on a tread mill type of pad. Long story, but.. What you have there sounds really cool. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Playing sports indoors in front of a computer...I hope the world doesn't become THAT dependant on these things...if things go too far, I wouldn't be surprised if the scenario from Terminator 2 actually becomes a reality.

Hey, well think of this scenario...

You're at home and you're really bored. All your friends are lazy shitheads and they don't feel like doing anything! What do you do? Find me on the internet! "Hey Sal, wanna go find a game?" ME: "Sure!". We go onto the baseball website and register for the next game. It's in a few minutes! Great!

Now, you stand on your pad. You're the leadoff hitter! I'm on the opposing team and I'm pitching.. We both have our VR glasses on and so do all the other players (in their rooms in their own homes). I wind up and pitch! The infrared ball in my hand knows the pitch I am throwing because of my finger positioning. It also senses velocity. You are holding a small pipe-like sensor in your hand. You swing and hit the ball hard to left-center! You feel the ball hit the bat and you run to first, but you see the outfielder hasn't recovered the ball yet! So you press a button and your screen rounds first and you head to second base (without actually turning on the tread mill). You make it into second easily as the throw comes in...

Need I say more?

Yeah, it's ok if it's just a side thing, but I wouldn't want it to completely replace doing things outside...I like being out in the world more than sitting in front of the monitor inside. As long as people don't become indoor drones, the idea is good.

I just think the Dance Dance Revolution was a very good alternative. It is hard to find a way to excercise while entertaining yourself for like 30 mins a day. I agree that it should never replace outdoor activities. But people who would crash in front of their Playstation anyways, now have a way of doing that and exercise. We have less and less time for recreation in our lives, that I am afraid that Sal is actually describing a not so far future.

Flixfan this game actually sounds like a lot of fun especially for the winter months when its too cold and not that safe to workout in the outdoors. I'm going to look for this http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well, for me this internet sports would be the best! None of my friends play sports anymore so the only way I could play would be to find an internet game.. I'd be okay with this... The outside world is becoming a dismal place, to me...

Yeah well, you do live in a city (as do I) which can get pretty dismal. Luckily for me, there are a couple woodland type areas for me to escape to...plus I live close to the ocean, so that helps http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Living near the ocean sounds pretty cool.. How far are ya? The closest I've ever been was about 20 minutes.. There's always something to do when you've got a beach around..

I'm really close...maybe 5-10 minutes at the most. Then there's Revere beach about 20 minutes or so away...not bad http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif
