View Full Version : avatars
Steve Savicki 12-03-01, 01:13 PM Is it possible to upload avatars by gif or jpg format so that way everyone doesn't use the same one?
Of course, that sounds a little greedy of me, but I like to be unique. :)
Roemello 12-03-01, 05:03 PM I've no clue what you're asking here...all the avatars in the gallery are gif and jpg...you can have a gif and jpg be the same graphic...file extension doesn't change a thing (except file size) :p
If you're asking if there's a way to make your avatar private so only you can use it, answer there would be no as far as I know...

Yes, that's what I was asking.
Tell me, do all the women want to use your avatar?
I would think your cyberstalkers would want to. ;)
Roemello 12-03-01, 05:38 PM Nah, I only have one official stalker and she has her own lovely avatar...that would be Val :D Unless there's secret stalkers I don't know about...
As of yet, no one uses other peoples actual portraits as avatars...thankfully :)
*Tinajo sneaks in and stalks Roemello secretly*
;)
Steve... it's in VERY poor taste to use someone else's personal avatar... it seems like there should be plenty of them to go around, that's for sure... I see you have added a new avatar to your name :) And if anyone else tries to use yours... you can kick their ass... really! I said you could!

Dancingdoll1986 12-04-01, 01:03 AM Here's a question...how on earth do I do that? I only have my digital photos on my 'puter, so how do I turn it into an avatar? Or am I an idiot and I should know how to do this? Or should I just sit quietly in the corner and weep?
Help? Please?
Roemello 12-04-01, 02:00 AM daydreams too now Tina? More flattery...love ya babe! ;)
Now then...dancingdoll, if you want a self portrait for an avatar, just e-mail me the pic (in jpg format) you want to use and I'll set it up for ya ;)

Then that means that there should be an avatar for everyone person or 2,000 avatars.
BTW, my old one should be deleted. Don't want no one else to use it unless some cute chick thinks I'm incredibly handsome!
:D :p :D
Steve.. we don't have 2000 ACTIVE members though.. some of the inactive ones that don;t post or post very infrequently will probably not have an avatar.. there are plenty to go around.. and if there becomes a shortage... (which there won't) people can always upload an image of their choice.. which seems to be whats happening anyway.

And I thought I had the least amount of posts of anyone here.
I wonder why people left.
Roemello 12-05-01, 05:25 PM Could've been anything from not having enough time, forgetting where the site is, excessive shyness, etc.

Well, why not send out a PM to everyone to remind them where the site is. ;)
Tinajo, am I considered an active member?

Steve, we can only get pm's if we're logged into the site. So that would kind of be pointless. Good thought though.
I can answer the second question. As long as you continue to post, you're considered an active member.
:D
Roemello 12-07-01, 02:08 PM Actually jen, if they have their PM's set to send them an e-mail when a PM arrives, they'd still get the message. That's the only way I know when I get a PM...I get notified of them all in my e-mail :)
*as jen does a backflip off her soapbox*
Oh...... :p

Okay, how about a mass e-mail flooding.

Even if I have less than half as many posts as you?
