You actually shouldn't need one with this program. Let me know if it's not working.. I could install a 'logout' option which would log you out. But I'm almost positive this should work perfectly using cookies. In fact, many have actually asked ezboard to use the same process.. Try refreshing your browser if it's not telling you which topics are the new ones accurately.. Okay? Lemme know!

That's weird it happened once to me too.

Now I can't even post.......HELP! It keeps telling me Error including required files: Can't locate ubb_library2.pl in @INC (@INC contains: d:\80sxchange.com\ubbcgi C:/Perl/lib C:/Perl/site/lib .) at d:\80sxchange.com\ubbcgi\postings.cgi line 46. Make sure these files exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly.

I'm sorry, you two.. First of all DON'T refresh. The system will think you logged out and logged back in. Thus, thinking that you were here already and left. Oh, God. I don't know how to explain this.. Just make sure your web browser is using COOKIES. It will work just fine. WORST case scenario, refresh and see what happens. But I don't think that's the way it works...

When you get here, don't refresh or anything. Just look around and you'll see the new folder icons... The yellow light bulbs (on the forums listing page) mean there are NEW topics.

Now - sorry about the confusion! If you are using Internet Explorer you should see the usernames to the left have a shadow. I installed that dopey little feature and screwed something up. That's why Blaziegrl was getting the black-screen stuff and Not Man got that error message. My fault.. If the system speed was up to par, the error wouldn't have happened.. I lost my patience and screwed up. But all is back to normal now...

Ahh, Not Man. Which web browser are you using? And which version of it. That could be the problem. Maybe it just needs an update...

OR! You may have cookies disabled. If you have an older web browser, it probably doesn't use cookies at all. Otherwise, maybe it became disabled somehow (if you're using a newer browser). That's gotta be the problem!

Oh, Not Man. This seems to work for me: When I finish reading and responding to messages, I close my browser... Then, I go back to 80sxchange (my Home with my browser) and click on the Public Message Base link. When I first get here, the NEW icons are still there, but if I refresh they all go away - I'm assuming unless there have been new messages since my last visit.

Hope this helps with that cookie situation...

Hmm. Are your preferences working, though? What you could do, if you'd like, is compare our system to another. www.fordvschevy.com (http://www.fordvschevy.com) uses a UBB and it should work the same as this one... But let me know if your preference settings are working the way you want.

Sal I just noticed this and I don't know if it will be of any help to you but when I try to submit my preferences in the lower left corner of my browser where it tells you the site address when I click on submit it comes back with an error message something to the effect of "done, but with errors on page" but it still says my preferences have been set.
