He had to be really mentally screwed up to live like that. Man, clutter in someone's house is one thing--everyone has a stack of magazines or a place where their hobby stuff abounds, but FILTH is another thing.

They are right, that maintenence guy is NOT being paid enough. I think I would just go in there with shovels, and then gut the apartment down to the studs, "Kilz" them, and rebuild it. You'll never get the smell out of the sheetrock, the linoleum, the carpet, the fridge, etc.

We had a employee one time who had asked off for three days to clean his apartment...or be evicted. I was told later that he did no town a trash can and just threw his refuse on the floor. Including foodstuffs and what not..he was truly disgusting, and Im no neatfreak myself..
