I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could help with this.
I’m going crazy trying to remember the name of a particular video game I played quite a bit in the 80s, the mid 80s I think. The game was one of the first and best of its particular style.
Using the joystick you controlled a spaceship that flew over a rolling landscape (rolling landscape like in Twin-Cobra). There were always cross hairs in front of your spaceship. The game had two buttons. One button fired straight ahead, the other dropped bombs exactly where the cross hairs were.
Firing straight ahead you would shoot flying enemies coming at you, using your bombs you would hit tanks and other ground targets. When you brought the ship to the bottom of the screen the cross hairs would move closer to your ship.
The game had a "cute" sounding name I think. I also think the letters "..is" were in the name.
The game might (I'm not sure!) have been made by Capcom or Taito?!
Any thought/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
n
