Sorry about this, but I know don't have a clue as to the lyrics (heard it last about two years ago...still in my head), just general tonality--so forgive me if this is way off. A section SOUNDED like this...
"they take you in, they take you out, and now you're inside out. Ooooooh, you're inside out." The singer was male...had a rather deep voice. Good tune. Hope you all can help.

NEW! At first, I thought it was a song by the band James, but no. This song had that James sound, but the lead singer had a distinctly deep (deeper) voice. In retrospect, it may be a 90's song....

Yes, it could be "Wearing the Inside Out" by Pink Floyd, but I doubt it because none of the lyrics are like the ones SMichael typed. The chorus is like: "I'm creeping back to life/My nervous system all awry/I'm wearing the inside out." and there's another part that goes, "Won't hear a sound/From my mouth/I've spent too long on the inside out/My skin is cold/To the human touch/This bleeding heart's/Not bleeding much."
