April 9, 2004 -- The plucky 11-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain has come out swinging in defense of her drug-plagued mom - insisting that Love's outrageous antics are not as bad as Janet Jackson's breast-baring Super Bowl stunt.
"Janet Jackson was inappropriate," Frances Bean tells Love during an intimate mother-daughter chat published in the May issue of Blender.
"But I've shown my t - - s in front of people, honey," the blond rocker tells her daughter.
"But [what Janet did] was in front of children," Frances Bean replies.
In the bizarre give-and-take that's bound to get Love, 39, in even more hot water, she also laments to her only child that she's man-hungry and fantasizes about getting a new squeeze.
"Sometimes, mommies need to get laid, too," Love tells her daughter.
"But Mommy," the girl shoots back, "You intimidate men!"

Love is due to appear in a California court next week on drug and vandalism charges.
And last month, she was busted for allegedly hurling a microphone stand at a fan during a concert in Manhattan.
Her recent troubles sparked child-welfare officials to award temporary custody of Frances Bean to Cobain's mom, Wendy O'Connor. Cobain died in 1994.
Love insists that Frances Bean belongs with her, and during a photo shoot for Blender, she agonizes over whether her girl has picked out too wild an outfit.
"Just don't make my daughter look like some 15-year-old trying to get backstage. I know that look," she warns a clothing stylist.
Despite all of her problems, Love tells the mag she's optimistic about her future.
"I will survive this. I will rock my way out of this s - - -," she declares.
