At least she wised up before making a completely jackass of herself.

February 11, 2004 -- YOU knew it was coming, didn't you?
The Super Bowl fiasco elicited a "class action" lawsuit by Terri Carlin on behalf of those Americans who were "caused to suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." Serious injury? One can only imagine the frantic calls to 911: "My son saw Janet's breast on TV. He's not breathing. Come quick."
Maybe that was even too ridiculous for her: Yesterday, Carlin dropped the suit.
No doubt some Americans were pleased with Carlin's "selfless tenacity." But in reality she was just another opportunist looking for her 15 minutes of fame - much like a certain pop diva looking to resuscitate her fading career with a flash of flesh.
In the final analysis, the debasement of our justice system is a far more serious matter. Here too, putting the "genie back in the bottle" would be good. But don't count on it.
The lure of a quick buck for those "angry, embarrassed and seriously injured Americans" is just too tempting to resist.
