This remains one of my all time favorite night time soaps. You favorite character? Any specific episodes that still stand out in your memory?

I used to enjoy watching Knot's Landing as well. A great show, with the wonderful triumvirate of Valene, Abby and Karen. I suppose my fave character would have been the wicked Greg Sumner, as played by William Devane. Who could forget the game of strip croquet that he played with the sexy Paige (Nicolette Sheridan)? I was always rooting for Mac and Karen and Gary and Val, the star-crossed twits... I mean lovers that they were. I still catch an old episode every once in a while on the Soap Network, just for the nostalgia! :thumb:

Abby was my fave.....I would have hated her in real life though. I would love to see the entire series again. One of the most shocking episodes was when Sid died...because, at the time, I didn't think that they would let his character die!! I liked, Paige too...She was cute and sassy and Abby hated her LOL

Paige seemed pretty wicked to me. She was like Abby Jr.

Val was the doormat, Karen the smart one, Abby the bitch....do y'all remember C.G.? Gary 'discovered' her. Has poor Lisa Hartman (-Black) ever been in a good movie? She should have kept singing or something. ;)

I was amazed when Sid died, too. I wasn't too fond of Mac, Karen's next hubby.

Alec Baldwin was Val's brother, and her mother was some warped hillbilly. I mean, I know that's an insult to hillbillies, but I wanted to slap that woman with meat cleaver. How stupid and blind can one woman be?! UGH!

I don't think a lot of people watched this, though. Those here, anyway. :) No one seems to remember Falcon Crest, either.

Oooo yeah, C.G.! Lisa Black played....what was her name??? a character that died.....then later Gary discovers C.G. played by Lisa ! That was one of the story lines I did not like.

Oh, and Kenny and what's her name at the very beginning...he was in the music business?

I wished more people had watched this. I love talking about it. I had forgotten about Alex Baldwin, too!

And remember Danny, that fruitcake psycho Val got involved with? I think I may have dated him.....LOL :rollin:

I remember Falcon Crest as well, Val! My other favorite prime time soapie! :thumb:

What was the name of that one crazy woman who was obsessed with Gary? She ended up killing herself and making it look like Gary had offed her! She also held a gun on Valene and made her write up a suicide note and forced her to take an overdose of pills. Valene survived, but everyone thought she was whacked when she tried to explain what really happened!

I remember C.G. too. Lisa Hartman sure looked cute with her big, teased hair and sequined head bands!

I remember when Donna Mills (Abby) left the show, they played Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry (Be Happy)" as her limousine drove off in the sunset. Oh, the memories...

Wasn't her name Jill Bennet??? Damn, I had forgotten her nutty butt, too. She did all kinds of crazy crap...like editing a tape to make it sound like Ben (Val's missing hubby) had been calling and leaving messages.

I was sad when Abby left, even though it was funny. I loved that conversation between her and Karen when Karen thanked her and said she was touched that Abby wanted her to influence Olivia and Abby kinda smiled, and said "Oh, I didn't say that. I just said I wanted you to look out for her." or something to that effect! Classic Abby!

I love Knots Landing as well. I have the whole show on video and I can't wait until it's finally released on DVD. Chances are not bad, since they are putting "Dallas" on disc this summer. :)
I visited the cul-de-sac in december 2000 and it was a great feeling standing in front of Karen's, Val's and Laura's houses. I didn't want to leave for an hour and hoped to see who is actually living in there but nobody showed up.

And then after about a year and a half Karen's house was on the market and I found a website where it was offered with pictures of the original interia.
I didn't like it very much how it looked inside but maybe it was that I expected it at least half looking like it was in the show :bigcry:
My favorite character was Abby and when she was gone, I loved Linda so much and everytime I see the scene when she was killed it gives me goose bumbs.

And for Falcon Crest.... I have the whole show on DVD and it's my second favorite 80ies soap and Knots is still number 1 :thumb:

Wow, that would be cool to visit the actual cul-de-sac which was the setting of Knot's Landing, Carfel! For some reason, I just assumed the interior shots for the show were filmed on a studio sound-stage. I'm glad you had the opportunity to see the homes, being you are such a fan of the show!

Most of the interiors were shot in the studio.
They had some very few real indoor scenes like the ones in Greg's house in the reunion and in the kitchen on Laura's funeral in the TV show.

I wish they would produce a second reunion, but after 7 years the first was made, chances are very low I guess
