Here's a real challenge for you 80's music lovers. I can't find anyone that can tell me about this tune at all.

I believe the title of the tune is "The Shape Of Things To Come". I don't know who the artist is. I think it was getting airplay on or about June 1980, but the garbled clip I have was recorded about August 1980. I have partial lyrics as follows:

I believe the song you are looking for is "The shape of things to come" by The Headboys it went to #67 in 1979.

The tune is, indeeed, by The Headboys, and it is called "The Shape Of Things To Come".

I guess they were one-hit wonders; can't find anything else about these guys. Nevertheless, it's these come and go artists that can have lasting memories at different times in our lives.

When I first saw the title of this post I thought someone was looking for FM's cover of the Yardbirds standard Shapes of Things.

Boy was I surprised. I had completely forgotten that Headboys song. Great track. Thanks for the post PC and great work answering this Deej. :)
