That same thing happened here in Houston over less than $1000 (seems like it was $400 or so.) The lady got her house back though. It is total BS. We have pretty good home owner laws in Texas to protect us from these crooks.

How could anyone take a house away from the elderly?! Over 120.00! If those were my parents or relatives they would have had the money ASAP no questions asked.

Here's my guess as to why this happened: someone wanted that property and found a loophole to get it for cheap.
