: In what could be the most polarizing occurrence in music since the glory days of prog rock vs. punk rock, the trinity of Beyonce, Britney and Pink have recorded a version of "We Will Rock You" by the legendary Queen for their upcoming Pepsi gladiator commercial.

The, perhaps, disturbing aspect of this is that the two of the three surviving members of Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor actually played on the track. Bassist John Deacon thought better of the whole affair, perhaps. "We Will Rock You" had previously been butchered by metal-lite rockers Warrant for a soundtrack.

Is there nothing sacred?! It's bad enough my eye doctor tried to talk me into buying a pair of Britney Spears designed eyeglasses tonight. Now this!

I can't say I feel any real indignation about this, since WWYR stopped being a 'song' to me years ago. For a long time it's just been background noise at sporting events so Homer Simpson with his foam rubber "#1" hand and $7 beer cup can bellow along on cue. Stimulus! Response!

I can't believe Brian May would do such a thing. If Freddie were still alive he'd NEVER do this type of thing. I have lost some respect with Brian and Roger and gained respect to John Deacon. :barf:

I can believe it....after watching Jimmy Page on SNL with P. Diddy BUTCHERING "Kashmier" and after hearing the Who's "Bargain" used for car commercials, NOTHING is sacred....
