I remember an 80's kid show that featured real people dressed up in animal costumes, all of them lived in this little village where they had their own house and what not. I specifically remember one episode where one of the characters had a friend that was visiting and this friend was in a wheelchair. The moral of that episode was that we shouldnt treat people with handicaps any differently. I remember during the episode, the other characters of the show would deliberately not play with this friend because they were just being cautious, well this friend felt left out. I also remember at the end, that the characters of the show got together and included the friend in the wheelchair in a game where that friend ended up getting a pie in the face. This type of show was generally seen on PBS resembling kid/educational shows like romper room or reading rainbow. I have no clue what the name of this show is. Can anyone help?

I dont think its the New Zoo Review...the people wearing the costumes wore basically just makeup...kind of like in the musical "Cats" Thanks for your reply! its narrowing down the search.
