It has been six long years, since wee last heard new material form legendary shock rock king Alice Cooper. Apparnately the time was well spent however, because the Brutal Planet is here, and it is in incredible.

Brutal Planet is a very dark and heavy statement on the world we live in and how Alice sees the future taking shape. The album is not for the faint hearted, and in some respects is Alice's scariest record, because this time he is singing about real life.

The album starts off in grand fashion with the title track, and contiunes down a journey of heavy rock led by the great guitar playing of Ryan Roxie and the drumming of ex-Kiss member Erci Singer. Standout tracks include Pick Up The Bones,Gimme, and Sanctuary (which has an almost ounk like feel too it)

The album is very modern sounding but also will plaese older Alice fans with the Only Women Bleedish sounding Take It Like A Woman, and the great song It's The Little Things where Alice once again welcomes you to his nightmare no more mister nice guy!

All in all this may be Alice's best album since Welcome To My Nightmare or From The Inside. Cooper is a hrd rock legend who doesn't get half the credit for his infleunce on music. Bands such as WASP,Motley Crue,Rob Zombie, and others all cite Alice as one of their biggest influences. If you don't know of Alice that much then shame on you, the guy is a brilliant lyricists, and for thsoe looking for an introduction to hard rocka t its finest, this is an excellent place to start.

I buy alot of albums, and this is the best hard rock album I have heard in the last five years!
