I was just wondering how many radio stations in your area are playing nothing but Christmas music? There are two I can think of here in Buffalo who's playing Christmas music 24/7, and they started after Halloween!!! I remember back in the day when radio stations played Christmas music after Thanksgiving and played it 24 hours from Christmas Eve morning to Christmas. One good thing though is that instead of going out and buying more CDs, I can tape the Christmas songs I want. I know that's a bad thing in a way, but if you're like me and can't afford to get Christmas CDs anymore, I have to do something to entertain myself. :)

I havent found any! There might be one but it is all like Perry Como, Bing Crosby stuff. Which is fine but I want more rock/pop Christmas music. I bought some really good cds at Costco Ive been listening to.

Thankfully there are no stations doing that. I like Christmas music but don't know if I could listen to it non stop for that long.

If there are stations here doing that, I avoid them like the plague :p I hear enough Xmas music in the stores when i am out shopping, I don't need to listen at home and never in the car!

The station WNEW 102.7 in NYC switched to all Holiday music 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. They used to be a rock station for over 30 years, then they went talk radio, then rap and now holiday music.

no radio stations that I know of are pure christmas music here, but I hear christmas music all day long at work, and to tell you the truth it's driving me nuts.

Kenny and Dolly's - I'll be home for Christmas is like fingernails on a chalkboard .

We have an Adult Contemporary station (WRVR 104.5FM) here that starts the Christmas tunes on Thanksgiving Day. They play a pretty good mix of new & old. I can't listen to it all the time, but it's nice when you are in your car and in the mood for Seasonal songs.

Also, there's a Music Choice channel on digital cable that plays only Christmas songs during the holidays. It's handy for parties, decorating the tree, etc.

Maybe if I actually looked for one, I might find it. However, I basically just listen to a Chicago Sports Radio Station.

You know.. I don't think we have a station here that does that... I guess the Christian station would.. But I would avoid that like the plague... :yucky:

Funny...just today when I was at (freelance, unpaid  ) work, I thought "what's wrong with that $#&§! station", since almost every third song was a christmas (or related) tune - yes, they even weren't stupid enough to play my favourite hate tune, "Do They Know It's Christmas", twice...

I have yet to hear one Christmas song on the radio here let alone play them 24/7. Last year Mix 100.7 played Xmas music everyday from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas eve, but even their not doing it this year.

So far, only one Jackson-area station is playing limited amounts of Christmas music (excluding Delilah): WJKK (Mix 98.7).

Christmas Lunch
Monday-Friday, 12pm-1pm

All-Christmas Weekend
Saturday, 12am-Sunday, 7pm

The station once had a large amount of '80s music (especially on weekends). Now, it has little '80s music.

Buc: I know of the station you're talking about, it's that darned "Sounds of the Seasons" channel (440 where my Mom lives). I would put it on and "torture" my Mom with it.
Carol Ann: Which stations are playing Christmas music, so when I come to Boston I'll be able to listen to them when I get there?
Wavey: So you hate "Do They Know It's Christmas?" *starts to sing it*

This year I won't be going to my hometown for Christmas, so I'll miss the annual Yule Log that the local public access station has. It's a video of a fireplace with the local radio station's holiday music in the background. My family used to pick on it, and we used to touch the screen and go, "Ow, I just burned my hand on the fire." Okay, my family was weird.

I haven't found any radio stations playing non-stop Christmas music here locally. I have been tuning into the Christmas music station on my local digitial cable network from time to time over the past week, however! :)

KBIG 104 in LA and Orange County plays xmas music all day - or used to. It does grate on the nerves.

When Christmas comes around I always get out my pop christmas CD. And play "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey 24/7 lol.

Well, there's second radio station playing all-Christmas music: Memories 780 (WIIN). I just discovered that a few minutes ago.

But--since it's an AM station--it broadcasts from dawn to dusk only.

Here in toronto a few stations have been playing Christmas music 24/7 since the end of November. I have to admit, it's annoying. All the stores are playing them too. I think I can only listen to Christmas music when I'm in the christmas mood and that's closer to the date. Plus I have to follow my ritual every year to offically open up the Christmas season: watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas" :)
