Did you know that Kenny is originally from Everett, Washington? He moved to Los Angeles when he was a teenager.
He wrote four songs used on a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band album in 1970. One of the four was "House At Pooh Corner".
After hearing the hit, Jim Messina wanted to produce an album for Kenny, but they ended up collaborating and having several hits in the 70s.
Kenny is known as the king of the movie soundtrack, having had hits with "I'm Alright" (from Caddyshack), "Footloose" (from Footloose), "Danger Zone" (from Top Gun), and "Nobody's Fool" (from Caddyshack II).
What do you know about Kenny Loggins?

Before settling in the LA area, he moved around a lot as a kid because his father was a traveling salesman.
Loggins was the musical guest on the very first episode (April 11, 1980) of the ABC sketch comedy show "Fridays".

?
Didja know he wrote this song as a senior in high school? He was prepping for midterms or finals when he wrote it. Thinking about when life was much simpler.
