View Full Version : Any Disneyland fans out there?
80slover 11-20-03, 05:59 PM My boyfriend and I have annual passes to Disneyland and we go a lot. We are both Disneyland geeks. We love everything Disney. We have collectors items at home and we even went there last weekend and bought all of our xmas decorations from there and have decorated our house in a disney xmas. Yes, we may need therapy.
Any other fans out there?
You should get together with Pagan when it comes to Disney. I'm surprised him and his wife, Laura haven't moved here to Florida yet where they love to visit Disney World every year. :)
Too funny. Only a few days ago I was commenting on how everyone from this site lives in the east coast and bingo! We got one that lives near or in Southern California :)
Even though Disneyland might be a little over an hour away, I rather drive for another hour further up... I'm more of a Six Flags person ;)
I prefer Disney World over Disneyland. I used to go to DW quite a bit as a kid. I LOVE that place! I am thinking of taking my kids as soon as they get out their "petrified of costumes" stage. ;)
Disneyworld does have a lot more goodies available. You don't have to drive another 45 mins. to get to Universal Studios for one :p
80slover 11-20-03, 08:27 PM Well we live near Burbank, so we are about 30-45 minutes away from Anaheim. We would love to go to WDW but it would be a bit of a drive. :D
We are planning a trip in February though.
As for Six Flaggs...............yuck!!!!!!!!! :goofy:

Hey man....if you ain't a Disney person, then stop tagging along after PG and stay outta our thread!!!!:lol::laugh:
80slover, I can tell we're gonna get along just fine. Like Sarg says, I'm amazed myself we don't live in Florida yet! And you should see my house...."Disneyworld North". We actually know some of the "cast members" at WDW on a first name basis. Sad, innit?
I haven't been to Disneyland yet...how is the new California Adventure? I plan to go out there one of these years, and I'd love to check out Disneyworld Japan.
Going down the WDW again next April 16th....and we'll probably be there for a week next December to see what all the Xmas festivities are like.

That's okay...some people just don't understand the magic....which is cool....less crowded for us to go there! ;)
So yea....if you want to talk Disney, PM me sometime. :D
DC Rebel 11-21-03, 11:24 AM Let me make it to Disneyland to see if I am a fan of it. Right now, I only have two things holding me back from going. Number one is cash and number two is health problems.

Hehe. I posted first in this topic ;)
Does this mean I can start adding xchangers to my signature  Don't worry, I'll make sure to include ya :D
Rhelawen 11-21-03, 01:23 PM I love all things Disney, though sadly have never had the pleasure of paying Disneyland a visit.
80slover 11-21-03, 02:15 PM Disneyland is not just a place or a theme park, it is a state of mind. When you go there you leave cool at the door. You go back into time and turn into a kid again and believe in fairytales and magical journies. If that is something you can't do than Disneyland is not for you.
If you go there expecting steel thrill rides, coasters etc...you will be very dissapointed. Disneyland is all about your innocence, your, your childhood, adventures, imagination and fairytales.
galaga-girl 11-21-03, 05:10 PM I went on my first trip to Disneyland earlier this year, it cost a lot of money because i am in Australia. BUT... I have never had so much fun in all my life. I am addicted to going back, i really want to go to DisneyWorld in Florida too, but i feel that it won't be as good and magical as Disneyland was.
I know exactly how you feel and it is hard to tell people who haven't been there before - they just think i am some sort of weirdo for loving Disney and Disneyland!!
We love WDW as well... can't wait till my daughter is old enough to understand and have fun there, too!
NO ONE does fireworks like Disney!! I mean NO ONE!

My new friend! It's hard to find people who get it. I actually am a member of disney message board that you may enjoy. We talk about disney related stuff. If you want more info about it, you can PM me.
80slover 11-25-03, 08:24 PM I haven't heard of intercot. Is that a message board? I was referring to Mouseinfo.com.
Intercot is a GREAT site for Disney, and their message board rules! Alot of the members of the board are Disney cast members, so they get info way before it's released and post it.
I'll have to go check out mouseinfo now.....;)
jillybean 11-29-03, 05:23 PM When my brother and I were kids (we are 19 mos. apart), my mom would always say she would take us to Disneyland when we were a little older. Well, then we'd get another brother and then mom would say, 'another 5 years' so we'd wait and then another brother came (I have three younger bros) so I had to wait until I was 24 to FINALLY get to DL and OMG it was sooooo worth the wait!!!
It was a short trip (we only went for a day) but I have never had so much fun. My whole entire family went on our first ever family vacation and this was one of our stops. I'm tellin' ya, I could live there. I spent like 3 hours in the gift store alone. I really want to go to DW now. We are talking about instead of buying gifts next year for xmas, to go to DW instead.
I love Disney everything. Maleficent is my homegirl, Tigger my homeboy. I love all the movies, the catalog, the store... everything!
