Since I am now a co-moderator of this forum I would like to add this here. It is a continuation of "My Wednesday night show" from the member's lounge. This Wednesday 12/19/01 I am doing something special. I am not doing the "Bob's musical yearbook" portion of the show (hour 1) instead, I am moving the request hours to hour 1 and 2 and for the third hour I am playing nothing but 80's Christmas songs. I had so many I wanted to play and just didn't get a chance to the last few weeks. Join us in the chat from 9-mid EST Wednesday night.

Well...one good thing about moving your show announcement here...you won't have to shoot back 2 or 3 pages to find it anymore...lol ;)

It's that time of the week again. Last year at this time I did a special on the show called "New wave for the new year". This year I have decided to do a special called "Roller skating into the new year". I am featuring 3 hours of songs that I personally used to rollerskate too. This show will feature R&B, old school rap, funk, freestyle and electronic funk. This is not a show to listen too if you don't like this kind of music, there will be no rock today! Got the confirmation for business school today...at this moment, it seems that I´m starting on 03/18/2002 to become a informatics specialist (whatever that means :D) in the next 50 weeks. This also means that I can´t get up at 2:30 am CET anymore to listen to one of the best broadcasts I´ve ever heard (I´m dead serious!)...and one of the best chat rooms I´ve ever attended (here I´m dead serious, too!).

Of course, I will peek in whenever the chance occurs...you will probably see me on 03/04/2002 again, when we will have one of the few holidays. From time to time, I will also join the chat on weekends, mostly on Fridays and Saturdays (if you still aren´t fed up with me :lol: ). I will also continue posting here...no chances to get rid of me for those who are hating me, he he.

Time to say Goodbye...my last appearance for now will be next week, on 03/13/2002. (This is the hint for you, DJ...you could play one track of each CD I´ve sent over the duration of your show ;)).

DJ, I just want to say that last nights metal/hard rock show was really good! It sucked I couldn't be in chat. For some reason my computer was slowing down really bad trying to listen and go into chat at the same time. It took at least 10 to 15 minutes just to get into Dream Chat. I chose not to chat and instead listen. I had totally forgot about that song "Summertime Girls" by Y & T. I will have to go get that one. Maybe you should consider doing a show like that maybe every few months or so. :D

I don't think I could handle that :lol: I'm glad you enjoyed it, I tried to mix a little of everything while all the time playing all the "big" names. We missed you in the chat but I'm glad you choose to listen instead ;)

Including a few one-hit wonders, a duo who definitely was NOT a one-hit wonder and many others. In two weeks I will be changing the format of Bob's musical yearbook, stay tuned for details. Just In case that you are still missing me...I´m probably back on track on the 8th of May, since the next day is a holiday here. ;)

As you may have heard, I was given a full time position at Froggy 94.7. I start on Monday April 29th, ny hours are 7-midnight which means I only have two more weeks on Bob's musical Yearbook and the 80's Rewind. I have decided to run two specials that I had saved for later in the year. Tonight I will be doing a one hit wonder special. I will play one from 1980 then 1981 and so on until 1989 then I will go back and start over, that way I can play some from each year. They are all songs that went at least top 20. Once again, a one hit wonder is an artist that had only one top 40 hit on the Billboard hot 100 charts. Next week will be a "Going away party". I will play party hits of the 80's. The songs featured are songs that still get people on the dancefloor. I have been in the mobile buisness since 1989 and I have tested them out recently :) No 80's party would be complete without these songs.

I'm definately going to stop in tonight since I won't have a comp after Friday. I'm sure gonna miss your show, dj. :( But surely you will be stopping in here on a regular basis. :*
