View Full Version : Britney Spears
Poison PJ 5-22-00, 02:56 PM I think that Britney is what this world needs to bring back the 80's. I've always been a metalhead, but I'm also extremely open minded when it comes to music. With 80's souding pop coming back into style, Glam rock will soon follow.

Sal Collaziano 5-25-00, 03:53 AM I never thought of her as having an 80s sound.. What does anybody else think? I've really never thought about it...

Roemello 5-25-00, 04:43 AM I can honestly say I've never even listened to anything by her, so I can't say. All I've heard is little clips here and there in commercials.

RetroMan 6-03-00, 01:04 PM She has the catchy 'hooks' in her songs (which is what 80's songs were all about)
And my word, she is so incredibly cute http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sal Collaziano 6-06-00, 01:45 AM Well, I can't really argue there either. And her songs are good too. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well I have 2 little girls over here that love Britney Spears, so after having to listen to it countless times I find myself singing to it. It's catchy and grows on you. I would rather listen to her than alot of other acts that I'll leave nameless (in case Notman shows up and the "M" word is here as well lol) http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think that Britney Spears is and will be harder than "M" http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif. Besides I would much rather look at her. *BOING!!*. OW! I think I just hurt myself. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

My daughter has her new cd. One of the songs on it is a Rolling Stones cover of "I can't get no satisfaction". It tripped me out when I heard it. I personally don't like it, but it shows who some of her influences are.

RetroMan 7-07-00, 01:30 AM You never know with things like that sometimes it can be the producer who dishes out the influence - I give her even more admiration if she, herself chose to do the Stones
