I think that Britney is what this world needs to bring back the 80's. I've always been a metalhead, but I'm also extremely open minded when it comes to music. With 80's souding pop coming back into style, Glam rock will soon follow.

I never thought of her as having an 80s sound.. What does anybody else think? I've really never thought about it...

I can honestly say I've never even listened to anything by her, so I can't say. All I've heard is little clips here and there in commercials.

She has the catchy 'hooks' in her songs (which is what 80's songs were all about)
And my word, she is so incredibly cute http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well I have 2 little girls over here that love Britney Spears, so after having to listen to it countless times I find myself singing to it. It's catchy and grows on you. I would rather listen to her than alot of other acts that I'll leave nameless (in case Notman shows up and the "M" word is here as well lol) http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

My daughter has her new cd. One of the songs on it is a Rolling Stones cover of "I can't get no satisfaction". It tripped me out when I heard it. I personally don't like it, but it shows who some of her influences are.

You never know with things like that sometimes it can be the producer who dishes out the influence - I give her even more admiration if she, herself chose to do the Stones
