Taken from Metal-sludge.com:

Around 1:30 AM, there was a shooting outside the Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. As the story goes, earlier in the evening there was a fight, and after the fight, one of the guys came back with a gun and opened fire into the crowd by the patio at the Rainbow, hitting Bruce Kulick and hitting one of B-Real's friend's in the foot. A total of 3 shots were fired, and when the pussy was out of bullets, a crowd of about 30 people basically beat the shit out of the guy in the middle of Sunset Blvd. He was hit with bottles, kicks, fists, and shit like that.

Bruce was being attended to down by the Key Club, where Vince Neil was performing, and will be ok but was naturally very shaken up. The latest report is that Bruce was hit in the leg from a ricochet, though some say he was hit in the head from a ricochet. Either way, we was obviously very lucky!

As for the guy who opened fire, he was last seen being put into the ambulance and was really ****ed over. The entire street was shut down and we will have more on this when it becomes available.

The band's onetime lead guitarist, Bruce Kulick (news), was shot twice Thursday, as he exited a Vince Neil event at a West Hollywood nightclub at about 1:30 a.m.

One bullet grazed Kulick's head, while another made contact with his leather-clad leg. He was at his home Thursday, recovering from his wounds.

The gunman had reportedly been arguing with several other patrons at the Rainbow Bar & Grill--none of them Kulick--before storming out of the club.

He returned on the scene with an automatic pistol and fired at random into a crowd of about 300, officials said.

Kulick had the misfortune to be standing in the line of fire.

EMS crews arrived soon thereafter, and whisked him off to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

"I'm fine, and very thankful to be alive," Kulick said Thursday, via press release.

Meanwhile, the rocker's assailant was wrestled to the ground by the crowd after his shooting spree, and sat in jail Thursday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

Kulick performed with KISS from 1984 to 1995. He exited the band after the original members reunited for a shock-rocker nostalgia tour in 1996--makeup and all.

These days, Kulick rocks on as part of Grand Funk Railroad. He's expected to take the stage with the band at a November 8 benefit gig on behalf of Safe Harbor Animal Rescue and Hospital--a no-kill animal shelter based in Jupiter, Florida.
