Which of these bands that have been coined with the term "Corporate Rock" is your favorite

Looks like AOR to me... :lol: I'd have to go with Journey... Foreigner a somewhat close second.

I went with Journey. But what is the meaning of "corporate band"?

That was a tough one. I chose Journey, they have longevity and their music stands the test of time better. Plus they have Steve Perry!! He rules!

Had to go with Styx......the OLD Styx, before Dennis DeYoung started singing the syrupy ballads.

I hated the term "corporate rock". It was coined by people who were insanely jealous that these bands were making truckloads of money at the time.

REO Speedwagon would be second on my list. They had some AWESOME live jams!

This is a tough one! I like all of those bands, hmm... I guess I'd go with Journey.

Very tough to choose because I like all of those bands. but I finally decided on Journey. I can't even pick a close second.

Kansas is my favorite. They are very underrated IMHO.

I went with Kansas - no doubt about that! Two votes for Kansas now :)

I didn't vote for Kansas because they don't belong on the list. Kansas was very technical and close to progressive. Corporate rock? Not in the least....therefore, not a viable choice.

I've seen Kansas live and they are technically sound! They would be my second choice behind Styx. I like the term Arena rock or Album rock better than corporate rock

If this were the 80s, I'd say Night Ranger and not think twice. But I also like Journey, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon.

Geez, you made this tough! :lol: I'm going to go with nostalgia and say NR, with all the others in a tie for second place .1 percent behind them.

Journey. I wish I could have seen them play live back in the 80s (with Steve Perry), I hear they were awesome in concert.

I took Journey. If you havent seen thier live 2002 dvd, I highly recomend it! It totally rocks!

Journey when Steve Perry was integrated into the band :)

Journey rules over the world (with steve perry of course). They have some of the most beautiful songs, like "separate ways".....

I chose Journey because of Steve Perry's vocals although REO would come a close second. I would class these bands more in the vein of AOR rather than Corporate Rock, but then I'm not fully cogniscant of the intricacies of Rock's many genres!! :lol:

Have to agree with Pagan on this!!!!

I always liked Styx, Second would be between Foreigner and REO Speedwagon

I went with Other......as in they all suck equally :D

Not sure what Corporate exactly means either :), but out of these bands...NIGHT RANGER are totally number one on my list.

The songs of STYX, REO, KANSAS, JOURNEY I could listen to over and over again...probably will for years!!

Foreigner followed by Journey.

There were entirely too many good choices, but I voted for Styx. For the simple reason that they are and were cool. I also voted for them for a dear friend of mine who's a diehard Styx fan.

I voted Foreigner, purley because it takes brings back lots of memories of when i was a kid and lived in america, going over the golden gate bridge, and swimming all night before we got use to the times ahhh, memories :)

Journey. You can never go wrong with a band that even had their own video game.

I choze STYX......even though by the 80's they sucked......"Kilroy Was Here" flopped......but late 70's Styx....ruled the airways.....

It was a VERY HARD pick between Journey and foreigner as i love both bands!!

However i picked Foreigner :)

How about All of the above. Does that count? Seriously, I know better than that, but their all so good that I couldn't make a choice.

Tough choice. But I went with Boston. They Were one of my early Hard Rock Favorites. Foreplay/Long Time Still kicks ass, as does Party and Rock N Roll Band!
