I hate moving and we have to help someone move today--a definition of a true friend!

How do you define friendship?

You know, when we used to have a full size pick-up - EVERYONE used to ask us to help them move. It's almost like people think just cause you drive a pick-up you are supposed to do those sorts of things. :D

at least the person getting moved always offers to buy the beer, which means 24 beer split 5 or 6 ways for several hours of hard labor

Pretty much the be there for you though thick and thin principle holds true for me. There's nothing worse than a friend that deserts you when the going gets tough.

A true friend will stick with you no matter what. I only have one true friend and that is sorta sad that I only have one. But "true" friends are hard to come by. I cherrish that friendship every day.

I think it's better to have a small circle of very good friends than to have a bunch of just so-so ones. I keep my circle small, but it never fails that we are always there for each other. I am not really friends with the guy whom we helped to move, but my hubby is and therefore if it's important to my hubby to help him, it is to me too, so in that way I guess that makes the circle a little bigger :)

I don't think it's sad at all that you have one true friend, Milani. I think that must make it a super-valuable relationship!

I consider myself very fortunate to have a best friend - even more so when she is the kind of person I want to devote myself to for the rest of my life in every way possible.

It must take you two days to wash your hair. You are a sweetie. I know you would help if you could. ;) Heck, if we lived in the same timezone I would give you a free shampoo for the help. :p
