I ordered it, received it, and listened to it. Now it's time to review it.

Well, it certainly sounds like Kraftwerk. If you like their previous albums, then you'll like this one. Especially if you like how they combine 3 songs into one really long one. And especially if you like repetitive songs ;)

Oh! I forgot to add the name of the album! It's simply Tour de France Soundtracks. As I understand, they've always wanted to make an album around the single but never did until this past Tour de France which celebrated it's 100th anniversary.

I can't get into detail about the songs because I don't have the cd with me and I'm not a huge hardcore Kraftwerk fan who can dissect each and every note ;) But I can say that this album will not disappoint even the casual Kraftwerk fan (like me).

The first few tracks (well, really, they're all combined as 1 long one) starts off the album in a chill out sort of way. If you like electro (the sound of early 80s electronic music), then you'll like this album.

When I read a review of the album, it said all the tracks were about cycling. I didn't really hear that in every track.

I recently took the plunge and purchased 'Radio Activity' and 'Trans Euro Express' by Kraftwerk having been a Jean-Michel Jarre nut for most of my life.

And I have to say I was not disappointed, 'Radio Activity' is a groundbreaking album with some stupendous electronic tunes for 1975!

'Trans Euro Express' didn't hang together quite so well, but it's still a very good album.

Not sure If I will buy this new one though, may get some tracks from WinMX first before I buy.

Speaking of Jean-Michel Jarre, I was thinking of searching if there's any greatest hits compilations. All I know is Oxygene and Rendez-vous.

There is indeed Sketcher and it's called 'Images - The Best Of JMJ' - but it's a bit old now as it was released in 1991.

Because of this 'Images' does not contain classic stuff from 1993's 'Chronologie' nor 1997's 'Oxygene 7-13'....or 2k's brilliant 'Metamorphoses'.

So it looks like a more complete compilation is being hoped for.
