DC Rebel 9-24-03, 07:25 PM Hmmm....for the first time that I can remember, I am not at all depressed for this birthday. Normally, I can not stand it when my birthday comes around because it just seems with every birthday that I have, I just get another year older and a year closer to my grave.
Now, I am just another year closer to retirement. :lol:

First of all, I went out for lunch with my father and had a fun time with him.
Secondly, but more important, my first sports article appeared in my hometown's newspaper today. My name even appeared in the byline for my article.
After, my father headed to work, I headed to a soccer game so that I could cover it for next week's paper.
Now, I can just sit back and relax for the rest of the night before writing up my article.
