View Full Version : Worst ''original'' movie?
Jefferson Starship 9-01-03, 02:02 PM I think about this a few minutes ago and a lot of people said that the original of some movies are not good... So why not having a poll for that??
Mine is Friday The 13th, I have the 1st except the end who was very special, didn't like this one, it's my least favorite movie in that list. Alien is not my favorite too. Halloween I like it a lot, NOES is pretty good but it's a movie that you must see more than 1 time to judge better! ;)
Caligula 9-01-03, 02:46 PM Um I don't know, for me most of the originals you listed were better or equal to their sequels
Godfather- It's as classic both one and two are great
Vacation- alot better than European Vacation, and equal to Christmas Vacation
Friday the 13th- Watched both one and two on acid back in the early 80's and hitch hiked home (It was before anyone had vcr's) I had friend whose father worked for the entertainment dept of the navy, so he got first run movies , which we would watch on a projector an the wall. The ending freaked me out.
First Blood- once again I liked the original better than Rambo, Rambo was just a kill fest, while First Blood, was believeable
Alien- liked the oringal better , once again , the gore and violence might have been less, but the anticipation of violence was good
Roemello 9-01-03, 03:50 PM I loved 'em all... some absolute classics there, but I guess the one I like the least would be 'NL Vacation' :p
Nightmare on Elm Street - In fact, I don't like the sequels either.
angeleyes25 9-02-03, 02:03 AM My vote goes for Alien.
Easy pick for me. I voted for Halloween. I found it boring and thought that Michael Myers was a rather pathetic looking psycho killer. There were other Halloween movies that were better than that. (But even then, not much better).
I put "other"....all of those were good movies.
How you left the "Police Academy" franchise off there is beyond me!
Guess I would go with Alien, but it was still a decent flick.
djdaffy1227 9-02-03, 10:28 PM First blood was awesome, and it was actually more believable than any of the other Rambo movies. I didn't vote for any of these because I feel (the ones I saw anyways) the originals were better than the sequels.
Duece5150 9-03-03, 07:15 AM I voted for Terminator. Now don't get me wrong, it was a good flick but I thought T2 was better
whistledog 10-24-04, 01:54 AM I don't like any of the Friday the 13ths. They get old sooo fast
Tanya1976 11-18-04, 07:53 PM The first Alien is definitely not my fave of the trilogy! It picked up in Aliens, though.
