You know I like hockey, but I never played a fantasy league before. What do I do? How much? I would like to try this just once! If someone rather explain in a PM that's fine. Help me out guy's?

If you go sign up, its pretty self explanatory. pick your team, pick who you want to "play" on each day, and get points from them scoring. Its fun, but takes a lot of research to play it well.

Jeff, Jasper is right, the signup is not too hard. (See my instructions above). As for how much, all our leagues are free. You will need a yahoo ID, but unless you want to purchase some of the extra goodies yahoo offers, your team is free.

I'm pretty much up to the part where it asked if the Commissioner can edit my team, Yes or No? I do take it, I'm to select custom team, Right? as for the name do I pick a city name before the team name, or just team name?

I'm all hyped about it, Just came from Blues training camp today. I got all pumped up the last few days hanging around the arena watching hockey. This is truly the best time of the year! AyyH, who knows with a rookie team like mine aboard, I may steal last place!

This is my third year doing fantasy sports, but my first time in the hockey league, so I'm sort of a rookie too :lol: Looks like I got bumped outta week 1 unless someone else joins :p

Jeff! I was there too! Down behind the goal (the only time I will be able to afford those seats! LOL!) Had a great time! If I knew you were going to be there, we could have met up! Took my girlfriend to it, she had only been to a UHL game in St Charles. She hates me now, because she knows we cant afford to go to many NHL games, and she says that since she has seen real talented guys, she cant watch the UHL anymore.

We need one more team.

Due to a lack of bench spots, all the rosters in the XFHL will be expanded by 2 spots tomorrow at aprox. 4pm CST. This will allow all teams to pick up 2 free agents of any position on a first-come basis.
This change will take effect at the time above unless any team owner posts or emails a disagreement.

When a player is added and one dropped does that go in effect the next day? Like today I dropped a player and added one and the schedule went to Oct 11th with that player in the lineup, but when I went back to the 10th I had the same roster before the trade.

So can anyone tell me how my team panned out for thefirst two days? If I'm seeing this and understanding it correctly I think my team did well. But this is judged by the week right? So you wait at the end of the week to determine a win?

Yeah, you play for a full weeks schedule, then the points are added up and whoever got the most points over the course of the week, gets the win.

Yeah, I saw that! I don't know what I was thinking when I made my roster picks. I picked that washed up Yashin instead of Arnason. Tyler is gonna be awsome this year, he's definately a promising player.

I watched the Avalanche - Blackhawks game last night- Holy S@#t , Colorado is definately a force in the NHL. Gonna be a good rivalry between the first two lines

And then tonight, Avs losing to the Blues! that hada hurt! Col really needs a goalie bad. if they don't get one they may be killing their chances at a championship, or even the playoffs. If they plan to make it with Aebischer they will have to make sure they can score when needed. Under pressure they could not score tonight.

Avs beating my Hawks wasn't a big win. Leighton was in net and they didn't face many shots from the Hawks let alone NO goals at all. It wasn't a real test. And the Blues should not have been a hard game for them. If anything other teams look to playing the Avs a big game. I would say the Blues won a big game tonight. If the Avs would have won, I wouldn't go as far as saying it was a big win. I would of expected it. But it was actually an upset!

OH Well, it's early! Lots of hockey to be played yet!
