I won tickets to see the Magic 105.3's Awesome 80's concert which took place Sunday Oct. 7th in San Antonio. The original line-up was: The Outfield, Taylor Dayne, and Rick Springfield. The Outfield cancelled and had to return to England, so BERLIN filled in for them. I don't think I've ever been to a concert with soooo much energy. This show just totally rocked!!! ( I know you hate me, don't you Stacy??)
Berlin was the first group to go on..Terri Nunn was so incredible. She actually got off the stage and walked through the crowd while she was singing and made contact with everyone. That was sooo amazing. They sang all their hit songs such as "Metro", "Sex", and of course, "Take My Breath Away". If anyone gets a chance to see this band live, do it!!! They rocked!!
Next was Taylor Dayne. What can I say, going on before Rick Springfield and an audience of mostly women..tough crowd. She was a trouper and she sounded great.
Next..the man himself, Rick Springfield!!! Whheeew, baby!! He sounded great, he looked fantastic, and he totally blew me away!!!!!He got down in the audience , playing his guitar, and letting anyone sing "Don't Talk To Strangers"..invited the entire front row to sing with him and then hugged each and everyone of them before they departed the stage. Opened the show with "Affair of the Heart" , and of course sang "Jessie's Girl", "Love Somebody", and did renditions of "Wild Thing" and "Gloria". Check out Magic 105.3.com for pictures of the show.. NIKKI!!!!! Again? 107.7 needs to just start handing you over a set of tickets every time they give some away for a concert. LOL Lucky, you got to see Rick Springfield!. Glad you had fun.
