Anyone here listen to the Violent Femmes? I am going to see them tonight downtown. I can't wait.

I have a greatest hits collection by them but really only know "Blister in the sun". Violent Femmes were from the New Wave hot-bed of Wisconsin....:lol: OK maybe not a hot-bed..

I'd go see them if they came around here. (If it were at a fair or festival, I wouldn't pay more than $10.00 to see them).

Let us know how it is.

I am seeing them for free. They are playing at this place called Power Plant Live which is in downtown Baltimore. It's an area where a lot of bars are at, and they have live acts. Cheap Trick was there a few weeks ago and the Spin Doctors are there next week. I may go see them too.

Other good songs besides Blister in the Sun are Kiss Off and American Music which often get played on Alternative stations when they have flashback hour or something like that

Wow thats soo cool, I wish they had cool bands play for free in Southern Cali!(I 'm a lil' broke right now)But if like a bunch of 80's bands got together and had a concert I would definately bust open my piggybank for that!!!So Brand tell us how was, okay!

I like American Music the best. I find most of their songs to be a little too campy (corny) for my tastes. Still, it would probably be fun to see them for free.

I Love Love Love the Violent Femmes!! Their music is quirky, and when I hear it, I just have to get up and move!! :D

Plus, when I listen to them, I feel like an angst ridden teen all over again. :lol:

I had no idea! I would definitely have gone to see Cheap Trick. Violent Femmes too. I need to pay more attention.:goofy:

I LOVE the Violent Femmes too! I have a their greatest hits cd I got a while back. Me and my friends used to crank "Add It Up" in the car and just scream the lyrics. Great release music!!! I'd go see them too. Gone Daddy Gone is another fun one not mentioned.
