Here's an interesting question: who is the biggest risk vs. reward player for fantasy football this year, and why?

Some that come to mind:

Aaron Brooks - Darn good QB on a good team. But is his shoulder ok?

Kurt Warner - Once the top fantasy player, will be even be the top QB on his team this year? Let's hope he's as ok as they say.

Priest Holmes - The best running back when healthy. But how's the hip, Priest? I hope he gets lots of touches this summer so we will know for sure.

What do you think?

Michael Vick- has the best legs and the strongest arm EVER!!, but is inaccurate and can make bad decisions. (Both AAron Brooks and Michael Vick scored extremely low on NFL IQ tests used to see if your smart enough to be a QB). He get media attention and fan support but his overall numbers dropped off in the second 1/2. I also bet this year every Team has watched the game films on how both Tampa and Phili contained him. It could be a very different year for Vick..... I do love watching him play though

Tommy Maddox- I think it was fluke

E James -I still can't spell his first name, Is he back this year, last year he didn't show much last year, I'd hate to taqke him in the first round and have him do nothing

Jerome Bettis- Will he even start?, I hear he has slimmed down though

Priest Holmes easily #1 on this list 24 touchdowns in 14 games. Will he be 100%, i doubt it. The bigger question is how high in the draft would you take him?

How about Trung Canidate could have a huge year if he gets the starting job in Washington.

Man, I watched Trung drop handoffs in minicamp, with no pads and no contact. He wont start in DC, and if by some chance he does, he will suck.

Definitely Priest Holmes.....

But Nolan....Ricky's the best RB. :p

You can have ricky, I have two and possibly three others on my draft board ranked higher.

Ah yes but who to choose first, a running back, a WR or a QB?

If you don't pick a RB with your first pick you are making a real bad chioce. But is it Ricky or Tomlinson? Alexander or Holmes? Where do Faulk, James, Martin, Portis and many others fit in? Knowing is the key to drafting.

I agree if your drafting high, but if your down around number 13 or 14, there would be better Q'B's and WR's. and hope to get pick a few lucky unknown running backs in the lower rounds

When do we find out the draft order? Is it going to be like real life and reflect on last year's standings? (since I was last, I'd dig that! )

Hey, I think you can have ricky. I will take a guy who will be right up there with him in yards rushing, but will get more in recieving yards. (at least I hope he will, DOH!)

:laugh::lol::laugh:

See what not being a fan of a team does? You know not of their plans.

Since Ricky has gotten in better shape for this season, Norv Turner and Wannestadt have announced that as long as he can handle it, he'll be left in on 3rd down situations, which he wasn't last year. That will result in more passes being caught and more yardage & TDs.

And I've just f*cked myself by saying that because someone's gonna grab him before I do now!!!

If's he's still around in the 2nd round I'll grab him

Once everyone hurries up and signs up! (hint, hint, late people!) :D

I'm going to randomize the draft order. Since we are starting from scratch playerwise, there's no need to rank teams by order of finish. But Pagan, didn't you pick first last year? ;)

Hey! I finished last in the 2002 season!!! And I'm proud of that fact. It was a cunning plan to get first pick in the draft this year!!!!! Pagan, wanna trade up?????????

Who all agreed to sign up in that thread? Nolan sent out a PM to me and I signed up shortly there after. How many are we planning on having?

Good choice of name! For your helmet, do you want to use the same logo as the failed exapnsion team?

Thanks, lost, but I can't take credit for the logo (I wish!) :D

That is the logo that was presented to the NFL in 1993 for the "failed expansion team" from Baltimore I mentioned earlier. As we all know, Carolina and Jacksonville got the expansion teams that year and the Browns later moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens. Thus the Bombers were never to be. Too bad, cool name & logo.
