At 7pm, I put on the local CBS station to watch, Inside Edition, and before the show started they had breaking news that there's a bomb threat called on the Peace Bridge. The Peace Bridge is one of the bridges that connects the US to Canada. They have it shut down right now and they have bomb sniffing dogs. I'm a bit scared, because I live only 15 minutes from the Peace Bridge. I hope this incident doesn't turn into anything worse. :(
I wouldn't worry to much about it. I live close to the Palo Verde nuclear facility and we have had so many alerts about it being targeted by terrorists that most people don't even pay attention to it anymore. If it happens, it happens, otherwise it's a none issue.
I agree with Shakey I live near (about 30 miles) The Thousand Islands Bridge which also connects The U.S. with Canada and they have been several "threats", but all were false alarms.

But the way they sounded on the news, they might have found something. I'll have to check out more information.

I wouldn't worry too much Molly, I'm a Customs Broker, and like Jim said the Borders are always having bomb threats after 9-11, Especially that whole New York- Michegan corridor

Well, the Peace Bridge is now open, but it was just scary. Yeah, the borders have bomb threats all the time, but this I guess was more serious than they usually had, because all the news media was there.

That's just it right there--it's not that a bomb threat isn't a serious thing, but they will be capitilized on more now that there has been a serious attack on the US. Unfortunately, it makes a great news day for the people who manage to scoop it.
