Oh man, I was a fan of The Beverly Hillbillies. This is sad news indeed.

I wonder how many episodes of TBH were actually made? I bet most of us know the words to the theme song! :)

He was a good man and had a long career. We are losing alot of classic performers..but, future generations will be able to enjoy their work also and hope they will appriciate them as we did.

A bit of Buddy trivia....he was the original Tin Man in "The Wizard Of Oz", but had to relinquish the part because he was deathly allergic to the silver makeup!

Here's even more trivia, he was originally cast as the Scarecrow but agreed to trade roles with Ray Bulger who was cast as the Tin Man,

My Goodness - It seems like all of Hollywood greats are passing away and with in days of each other!! I liked old Jed, I also loved him as Barnaby Jones!! Rest in Peace Buddy !! :(

That's too bad!! I loved watching Barnaby Jones with my Dad!!

I was surprised to learn this news and that he was 95 years old.
He lived a long life and had a great career. I enjoyed watching him in the Beverly Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones TV series.

We were just talking abot him yesterday. Saying how old he is and that it is amazing he has lived so long.

This has been a sad month in the entertainment industry.

Legends like Katharine Hepburn, Barry White, and now Bubby Ebsen. The fact that they died so close together makes it even more tragic.

However, we still have their work, so in a way, they will live on.

Buddy was born in the town I used to live in across the river in Illinois, called Belleville. He has a star on the St Louis Walk of Fame.
