WOW! What a weekend! Ok..so you all know about the sucky 4th of July we had! LOL! Sooo......let's get to the good stuff!
We had a family reunion yesterday and today. We were able to have 4 generations there. It was well prepared... my family can eat! Loads of food including: (get ready to lick your lips) SMOKED PORK LOIN, BBQ PORK LOIN, VEGGIES, DIPS, CHIPS, BAKED BEANS, 12 KINDS OF DESSERTS AND COOKIES, SALADS, HAM, etc.................. also..2 VERY LARGE SHEET CAKES for my aunts' birthday.
Had some really nice talks with cousins, aunt's, uncles, and people I hadn't even met before. People were in from: OHIO, LOUISIANA, WASHINGTON, (PLUS A LITTLE ISLAND OFF THE COAST OF WASHINGTON), TEXAS, MASSUCHUSETTS (OMG MY SPELLING! LOL!), ARIZONA, MISSOURI, ILLINOIS.
One of my cousins is into Buddism now and very interesting to talk with. Another had gotten married a couple of years ago and her and her husband live in the woods doing nature research. Another cousin is a tech support for PEACHTREE computer something or other..(software?), another is a contributing author to the CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL books, so much more!
We are starting a circle for the family newsletter by making a sheet for everyone with our email addresses... might be making a trip to Louisiana next year by the way it sounds...:)
We didn't go for breakfast this morning, but did meet for a brunch and an afternoon of visiting. We were going to have everyone out here to swim but..we have a busted pipe in the bathroom and it's sort of not so pleasant in there right now! LOL!
