I am just curious if any other Xchangers read and post messages on this board while they are at work? I am at work right now, and check this board out on occassion and sometimes post in the early mornings.

So, do you get on here during working hours?

Yeah I check this place out during work, several times a day, will post . Usually by Friday afternoon, I'm in here the whole afternoon.

Fortunately , being an air traffic controller give's me lots of time to jump from one computer screen to another

No computer at work. I would not get anything done. :p It would be like, "You have a hair appoitment?" "Hold on a second while I finish this chat." No work would ever get done. :lol:

When I had my regular teaching job in Louisiana, I did. I'd get on during my planning period and sometimes during lunch. Now that I'm a substitute, I don't have access to the computers in the schools. (You must have an access code and a password, which they don't give to subs.)

I'm always on the Xchange at night because even though I have a computer at work, we can't access the internet. We have an internal network. :dammit:

I do not have Internet access on my computer at work for security reasons. It is just an intranet of sorts. I don't get on the xchange until after 4pm when I get off work.

Easy answer: since I work from home, yes I do access the Internet while I'm at "work"! ;)

Since I work at a newsstand, I don't have computer access. I'm glad I don't, because I would never get anything done. I'm so glad I don't have a job with internet access or I'd never get anything done. I'd be in here all day. :lol:

Back When I first signed up on the xchange, I worked as a Network Administrator/Network Security Specialist. Which basically meant I could be online for whatever reason. Fortunately for me, everyone I worked with (Especially my bosses) were pretty computer illiterate. I also had access to a T1 (WAY Faster then Cable internet) network so the xchange loaded like I was actually on the xchange server...FAST! And I could spend all damned day posting (Unless a legit problem came up, then I had to stop and fix it)! In May 2005, Due to some heavy duty office politics, I left that job (Pay sucked anyway, but having "Free T1" was a perk, a T1 costs up to $500.00 a month).

Now My "Work Surfing" is restricted to weekends (As I'm weekend Supervisor/"3rd Banana" on my shift) and I'm usually in the field on weekdays (No internet connection in a truck) :laugh:

My boss only lets me when shes taking a nap. Otherwise I try to get online and shes banging on the keyboard and running off with my mouse. :baby: ;)

I'm at a different job now than in 2003. There is a strict rule about Internet browsing and only visiting sites that are work related. However I work in the Software Development area and for some unknown reason we get special privileges.

So yeah, I access from work. And my boss, she's probably on the Net as much as I am. :lol:

I can get on to the Xchange, however links to You tube, facebook, myspace, porn etc are blocked , so 1/2 the attachements on here I can't see

Currently, I work from my home, so I can access the xchange. Where I train, I can also access the xchange, but only during my breaks between classes.

I can, but I don't. I've only been able to for the last year, but just tried the other day to see if it would come up. Our IT dept. keeps a pretty close watch on what we do and it gets reported. One lady got in trouble for shopping on Ebay from her laptop (had to be a nurse or a social worker, they're the only ones with laptops). One lady got in trouble for playing solitaire too much.

We're blocked from certain sites unless we give a compelling argument to IT when the "you are blocked from this site and this activity has been reported to the IT Dept." message comes up.

Just easier to do my job than get in trouble for pissing around.

I am still at the same place. I can't get online because it cots too much to have Internet in a business. If I did have internet, I could get on whenever I wanted to.

Then I would be online so much I would be talking internet talk. Instead of laughing, I would say "lol" or "lmao".

Then the worst would be when a few fun customers come in and we hit porn sites for laughs. :D

I would never get anything done.

I have started too just recently..... they were nice enough to give us internet access for our breaks and lunch so I take advantage of it when I can :D
