Do you like The Ataris version of Don Henley's "Boys Of Summer"? I love it. It's kinda ska/punk. I think they did a great job! I'm always curious what other 80s fans think of the re-makes.

I am really not sure what to think of it. I always loved the Don Henley song. It has been getting some airplay over this way

Everybody on here already knows how I feel about modern day covers of 80s songs, so I won't comment.

I think the cover is very good! I like the fact that the Ataris keep close to the original and suped it up a bit. I also love the Black Flag reference...It almost makes it more 80's then the original...80's fans singing an 80's song with a 80's reference...cool

Yes (I've heard the song mere days ago), I love it. :)

Instead of having a Deadhead sticker, the Cadillac has a Black Flag sticker.

I was quite surprised to hear this remake! I didn't think that I would like it, but I have to admit that it is growing on me... :)

Well, I liked the The Ataris' cover version of Boys of Summer.

I heard on a hot AC (formerly, top-40) station one night.

I have to admit, that it has grown on me, and I do like it as much as it kills me to say it. I always liked Don Henleys version, and when I first heard this, song, it was on Howard Sterns show. It has gotten more airplay, but mainly on our Alternative rock radio station and not on AC/Top 40 stations.

Its ok, nothing special, I dont hate it. Of course the original is the best like always.

I was all set not to like it when I first heard it announced, but as soon as it was played, I was hooked. I'm usually not very fond of remakes of 80s songs, but I think this one is really good. I like the Black Flag reference too like Lostboy.

I do not know if it is true but some people on the radio were stating that Atari was playing the song, Boys of Summer, today at the Major League Baseball All-Star Festivities.

I just heard it prior to the homerun hiting contest, I hated it . Don Henley's version was haunting, this new version was to fast and punky

My daughter has this downloaded and was listening to it the other day. I was singing along, which elicited the usual squeal and question, "Is this a remake?" To which I replied, "Of course!" I only noticed two mistakes in the song. One, of course, is the Black Flag reference, of which I will forgive since I love Black Flag. The other is she doesn't just wear sunglasses, they're Wayfarers. Steff didn't know what Wayfarers were. :(

She has since downloaded Don Henley's version, but says, "It's too slow."

The Don Henley version is one of my favorites of the 80's. I do, however, really like the new version. It's not Don Henley's version but then again, I don't want another Don Henley version. In other words, I like it a lot. :)

I finally heard it and I gotta quote the horse from "Ren & Stimpy"...

"No sir, I don't like it!"

The first time I heard it was during the All Star game home run derby and I didn't like it (live)

I have since heard the radio version, and although I'm not crazy about it, it's better than the live version i heard

I am surprised that I like it. It's pretty good for a cover! :)

I actually really enjoy this version of the song... took a little to grow on me, but I'm enjoying it now. I like DJ Sammy's cover as well.
